Thanks for the ITK Hercules, greatly appreciated.

When I read things like “ the ball is out court “ namely Deadly Daniels it plays havoc with my IBS !

Time to get the deals done IMO.

Come on. As much as it pains me to say it, Chelsea are serial winners and a huge step up from his current team.
Exactly, they'll blow us out of the water with both fee and wages, and if Hazard has told them he wants out I'd guess very soon.
Unfortunately we all know how this movie ends.

Re the Chelsea interest for Zaha, personally I read the Herc info as that if we could agree the deal in time he would choose us. Hence Herc suggesting urgency was needed. Let it drag until Hazard leaves and they'll blow us out of the water with fee and probably wages too.

I honestly think he'd prefer us, especially with Breezers info. Issue would be Levy pushing the deal through quickly at the price Palace want. So yeah not confident!

Hertyid:

Seems pretty clear Utd won’t budge and now we’ve given Lamela a new contract I’d be very surprised if we signed another AM WF.

I really don't get all the Zaha talk then.

Surely we must be working on a CM? Honestly if we just finished the window having signed someone like Kovacic and maybe offloading Sissoko, Janssen and one or two others I'd be cool with it..

Possibly just HY's point of view. I don't think he's changed his direction on this, but doesn't seem to think that we're doing much on that front (Martial/Zaha), based on what I recall he's said for the last few weeks.

Of course different people have different sources/leads/etc.

Potential for one of the truly great meltdowns if Lamela signing a new deal is presented as "being like a new signing" and we sign no attackers. I look forward to it.

Interesting how guys like Herc have heard stuff on Zaha but Hertyid has seemingly heard nothing at all. Makes we wonder if we have different staff working on different transfers.

Maybe Zaha has been pretty straight forward discussions between Parrish, Levy and Zaha's people and the info has been kept at the top table.

Yeah I think all things being equal we’d have a decent chance of him choosing us, but in all likelihood things won’t be equal.

I also didn’t get the waiting on another target before deciding ( even though by all accounts he’s been Poch’s number 1 target all along).

Reading between the lines I guess it’s probably waiting on a cheaper target, and if it falls through Levy may reluctantly sanction a bid for Zaha instead, whilst sweating and shaking and Poch forcing the pen in his hand down to that contract :D.

In all seriousness though, if Chelsea are keen and we are serious we shouldn’t be waiting at all. Make Zaha realise how much we want him by pushing the transfer through asap, BEFORE Chelsea sell Willian.

Yep. I actually think the committee preferred Martial though, so can see why we hung on there.

I have a sneaky feeling the other possibility is if Ousmane Dembele is allowed to leave, but that seems far from certain and very risky.

Hopefully a decision is made and they go hard for Zaha asap.

Do we just want something new? Lamela, moura, son, eriksen were just as highly rated as martial (at the same age) was when he joined utd.
