Living in Bournemouth also. Several mates with AFCB season tickets and they rate Cook very highly also. Matured a lot through last season, really only a bench player 2017.

Away from the two quality signings we need and I advocate this fully. Adding quality in any position shouldn’t be overlooked. Take City with Mahrez. Best stable of ACM in the league and they spend another £60m there.

Our 1st XI is one or two ‘top top’ players away from City but our squad is a long long way from theirs.

Quality when it becomes available should be taken although I do understand the recent ITK regards squad places and wages and leaning to getting one or two excellent £50m (+) type signings.

One day down on Hercs’ Monday to Wednesday tease.
Nice post. Wasn’t there also a suggestion that the mainstream
media would get hold of a story about our developments during the Monday-Wednesday period?

Zero signings, nothing even close with the season starting in three weeks ?, Levy gets paid handsomely by his Father in Law and he is not doing his bloody job, if that's good enough for you then good luck pal !
Do you know for a fact that nothing is even close? Do us a favour, you know no more than me - and I know jack shit!

*Edit - sorry Acca - will stop that.

please prove what he has dithered and procrastinated on this window? everyone is getting frustrated because the way he works, but no proof of it this window so far. Even the Grealish deal has been held up Villa's end, and the only way we would of got him straight away is pay 40m :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Look, I'm pretty sure that no one on this forum can prove whether Levy has or hasn't played silly buggers during this window - just as we don't know what commitments (if any) were given to Poch when he signed his contract extension. It's all just hearsay and rumour.

I think we all know that this team needs something extra if it's going to take the next step forward and actually win something. In the big moments, in the big games, last season (e.g. 2nd half of 2nd leg vs. Juve, FA Cup semi vs. Utd, etc.) we were missing a real midfield leader and driving force who was able to grab hold of the game and simply refuse to lose. A Roy Keane/Patrick Viera type - heck, even a Paul Ince type - who was able to impose his will on the game. I accept those type of players are rare (and expensive) but that's what we need. Not Martial, not Zaha, not deLigt or whoever. One player to put us over the top. Would love to see a Modric or Kroos come here - why not both, if we've really got a £100m+ (net) warchest?

Anyway, what does concern me is the fact that we are apparently holding out on making any signings until we have got rid of the deadwood. If others know that then they can/will take advantage of it. To use Poch's phrase, we need to "be brave" and take risks. Go forward now, sign the players we want and push the deadwood out later. It might not be Levy's modus operandi, and it might cost us in terms of sales revenue, but it feels that this is an incredibly important offseason for the club and we are quickly running out of room to manoeuvre.

To Dare Is To Do, Danny boy...

Prove it.

He’ll be cheaper than Jack Grealish

Cook?

Bought for £10m in 2016 as a 19yo
And signed a new 4year deal in May this year.
Just got into the England team

Going to be a very similar fee £20-£25m by my guess.

Still a lot of chat and hypothesising on a single piece of ITK. Looking forwards to hearing the Tue/Wed actual news.

Can you prove the only way we would of got him is by paying £40m?

because that is what they value him at, seen enough coming out in the papers.

would you of been happy if Levy paid them 30m even and had to pay it up front because the mess they are in

I would say slightly more expensive - without Villa's financial situation, I think it's safe to say Grealish would be closer to 40m. Happy to hear others who think differently. Bournemouth would have very little time to sign a replacement (unless they were ready for possibility of him leaving already), 0 incentive to sell so they could set a take it or leave it sort of price.

Reo Griffiths isn’t with the US squad and is not with the developmental squad for their friendly today either. I know the ITK already said Onomah (who’s watching the friendly) and Edwards (who’s in the XI for the friendly), so I thought I’d throw this out there so we can speculate what this means for the next five pages.

no your right it might of cost £100m.

if you read every post every day you would see that Villa are the ones holding the deal up, how the f is that Levy's fault. if they value him at £40m need to sell, I think there is a pretty good chance they would of drove him to the training ground

Even though we haven't signed anyone yet and I believe we will, we haven't lost anyone. We have kept all our big stars and manager, with new contracts. That is a job well done by Levy. TW is the hardest part of being a Spurs fan.

TW should not be the hardest part of being a Spurs fan.

What the fuck are you talking about? If you’re referring to Lewis, he and Levy aren’t related
