I don’t have any insider info but I have previously argued that adding to our first team is very difficult without competing with top clubs. Those clubs can all pay more than us.

Itk plus poch interviews suggest he doesn’t want squad players anymore. He wants players for the first team. Otherwise better off filling bench with academy kids.

Nothing is Pochs fault or Levy’s fault. It’s a philosophy - a pure way of seeing the game. Look at Pochs football dad, Bielsa. Something so pure about his choice of clubs, his insistence on philosophy and developing players.

Ironically whilst people are wetting themselves about the prospect of losing Poch because he can buy a team at Man Utd, Id bet that is not very attractive to him. Spurs offers a place where he can build something of value, develop players, instil his philosophy.

This is convenient when we have a stadium project and tight finances. When Poch says he and Levy are on the same page, I’d take that at face value.

Fans and professionals don’t think the same way and the itk is increasingly clear on this.
And what has biesla won so far. Nothing
Southampton also uses lots of academy players. What have they done so far. Nothing
I know levy philosophy. and How long it will be like this that we can improve our quadruple winning team.
Can you name some amazing talent from the academy so that we can wet ourselves by the thought of winning the league next year

Think it's all clear now: Poch is sandbagging us this season as he prepares to leave for United. Basically Trojan Horsing us. #PochOut

In all honesty, I have no idea what to make of JJ's updates. Seems obvious even when we are fully healthy that we have glaring holes in the squad.

Completely conflicts with Goats info about us looking to bring two in. I'm so confused. It was easier when I could just hate Levy for ruining everything.

Not if the purchases we are close to are loan backs and not immediate reinforcements.

The question still stands of why we’re offering players to Poch that he hasn’t sanctioned... thought he was in charge of transfer targets? looks like it’s still our out of touch board.

The club will be offered players by agents and get reports from the scouting team all the time. The recruitment team wouldn't be doing their job if they didn't run these players by Poch - as long as the club don't buy them without his permission I really don't see the problem.

This must be about not being able to get the players he wants and not rating the alternative options enough to warrant spending the little money we have. I can only assume that any money spent now will impact next summer and possibly beyond so he is being very cautious about what every penny goes on. It's a risky game as it may mean we don't get top four and there is no guarantee the players Poch wants will be anymore available next summer then they were last.

I like Jj's statement that Poch is happy to use his squad.
Kind of makes sense the presence of Nkoudou, Llorente, Sissoko, the youth players that come into first team training.

The aforementioned trio, for example, have been around for a couple of years now, know the system, and the youth are taught the philosophy - you may be able to replace them with "better" players, but unless they're top tier alternatives I think he's happier having players he can trust to practice his style.

It's not Poch is stubborn, it's that he doesn't want middle of the range second, third or fourth choices.

I believe he wants quality. But its hard to get in that absolute top quality for a variety of reasons we all can appreciate.

But for me he is sending a message with this, supposed, stubbornness to the powers that be.

Not sure why any of this suggests poch is off to utd!!

Its simple he has a team/squad and he is happy with it, you have to trust him. The fact most dont agree is why they are on this forum and not in the changing room on a Game day

What the hell is going on?!

I love Poch but that is utter madness. If the budget is circa £100m I doubt he's being offered nobodies either.

Fingers crossed the Dele news has changed this.

Still suspect there's a bit of deflecting going on knowing our board however.

Its just not true. How much he had used KWP and nkoudu and llorente. The later two in case of desperation and come thursday and if lucas is fit we might not see llorente in the starting 11. thats how much poch is happy regarding these players. if you someone want to sign them he will sell them without any hesitation even though he knows levy won't buy anyone.
I don't know how people believe anything especially nkoudu and llorente who he never used in league.

Hmmm. Would have thought Levy would be happy to have finally landed a manager that doesn’t want him to spend any cash

Odd info - clearly something more to it than Poch thinking the current squad is fit to take the next step on a consistent basis - especially with possible departures

But they're ready if needed
