Would be gutted, and with his contract dwindling we aren’t in a strong negotiating position. Couldn’t we agree a contract with a fee release clause if Barca came in?

Got to be Barcelona the way the Danish press have been trying to sell him there for the last 5 years.

I'd love him to stay but if he acts professionally and we get top dollar for him I'd wish him well. I don't think it would be the disaster it would of been a couple of years ago.

Would be nice if he'd sign a contract to secure his transfer value but he'd be nuts to do it with some of the strokes Levy has pulled in the past. Pidgeons coming home to roost and all that.

He did similar with Ajax to ensure they always got some money. Although i believe they were only ever 1 year deals.

Didn't Eriksen say in an interview that it was his dream to play for Barca one day? If so, I'd say he's pretty ITK

So why dont Barca use that money to buy them instead? Its because they wont be as good. Not having a pop at you mate but pisses me off when people say we'll have money to buy replacement. There is no replacement of that quality. Would be a fkin disaster if he went imo.

Along with Kane he would be the biggest loss imo makes us tick really hope he stays

Lucky for us that Barca have an abundance of talent in that particular area.

Worst case scenario should be we can get one of them in return plus some cash.

Ah man why did I click on here?! Eriksen is so vital to us, a truly World Class talent. I guess I couldn't begrudge him a move after playing so well for so long, but for once I just want us to build on this great team we have.

Just have to hope Barcelona (assuming its them) decide against him. They have decent players in CM with Arthur looking the business and Coutinho dropping back is also an option. Biggest worry is that Rakitic is getting on a bit. Hopefully they look for an attacker instead, I'd imagine Levy would still want serious money with a year left.

The Toby and Eriksen situations prove how important these long contracts we have the likes of Dele and Kane on are.

agree if Eriksen wants to play for another club it's Barcelona, if that does happen in the summer then we should get top dollar and try for a few of their young players coming through, like Arthur or Alena
