Isn't there a certain "in the middle" player that has been mentioned in the past. An Italian team thought they had a typical Loan-to-buy deal all done. That deal failed, and now the Italian team still thinks they have a deal. Maybe Spurs have structured a better deal that is a full purchase - But Spurs don't want their possible deal to be public.

Hmm! Intriguing!

Was it too difficult to type Malcom?

Apologise as no time frame but expect VJ out the door. (I’d go with this week).

Thanks Breezer, good luck to VJ wherever he ends up! The first one out of the door and hopefully Grealish imminently and another player coming in!

Takes him that long and attempts to get out the door?! :cautious:

Cheers for the info! Need to start moving players out to make room for incoming (and free up spaces in cl squad)

I very much agree, but I at least hoped we would have countered that somewhat by signing some real quality that can take some of the burden off of the those WC players.

Emery is a great coach who was successful at multiple clubs with what he had, the only reason he was sacked at PSG was for lossing to Barca and RM in the CL and that isn't the quality he is going to be facing in the EPL on a regular basis, also lets not forget that Arsenal picked up just 3 away points this whole calendar year.

As for Sarri he is a hiring that had a very succesful season at Napoli and getting as close as anyone in recent time has come close to taking Juve's league title. and he won't have a team that is playing against him like Conte had.
Wrong thread. Delete before the ban stick is wielded. :sneaky:

Still would have had VJ in my team this (edit - last) year ahead of Llorente.

Vinny's link up play was actually fairly decent. The poor sod just couldn't find the back of the net. Best of luck to him if true

Don’t understand the ITK are Toby backtracking but not being in the fold. Not saying ITK isn’t correct here but surely if Toby wants to stay he just needs to man up - say to Poch he’s been a tool but he’s sorry and he’s never been in this position of being massively coveted and having things whispered in his ear about his true worth but he wants to kick in here - Poch doesn’t seem like the grudge holding type if you front up with him.

Seems a weird situation where we are being very slow getting quality signings done but would still countenance the sale of a world class CB to make a point .....unless all the falling out chat is really a smokescreen for Poch wanting a faster / younger CB and thinks this is cashing in at his Peak value

Its his contract running down though...

All well and good him wanting to stay, but he was renegotiating a contract when the goalposts moved. He's in the zone of sign up or ship out...

And 'sign up' is back down a winding path which he seemingly has shit all along with his agent...

I really hope things start (publicly) happening in the next day or two, or I think it's going to be a nervy final fortnight of the transfer window.

With the kit launch happening this week the timing seems opportune to get a couple of incomings signed, sealed and announced, and it sounds from today's ITK like things are beginning to move in regards to outgoings, so fingers crossed we see significant developments over the coming days.

Almost every other club in the league has strengthened now in this window, we can't keep leaving it so long to get moving, especially when Poch has made it clear that we to strike early in the window so as to allow incomings a significant pre-season with us. I'm sure there's plenty happening behind the scenes but you'd hope we would've had the foresight to have a deal or two almost wrapped up before the window opened.

Confidence is a funny thing. You wonder whether his Spurs career would have been different had Stekelenburg not made that fantastic save to deny him on his debut. The longer it took him to find a goal from open play the worse he got. What was it - 1 in the PL?

Shame, but as @tiger666 quite rightly states, no room for sympathy.
