Does that mean we are going to compete with those clubs with regards the wages as well? (Obviously within reason)

So is that 150 net spend or including sales? as I reckon we’ll need a CB LB (maybe RB) 2 CM AM AND ST! after we sell a few!

Spending money doesn’t guarantee anything so we need to get the signings right. The magnificent seven showed us that ?

150m is a decent sum, add in 40 for Rose, 30-40 for Toby and another 20-30 on the dross and we could be looking at close to 250m, I really hope we spend it on players that can push us to challenge for the title and not just prospects

We are not spending anywhere close to £250m imo, that’s fantasy talk

Good news. Hope Daniel brings home Bale and Modric.

Don't need Modric and Bale. Modric is too old. We need a CM for 4 seasons. Bale is missing way too many games through injury at the moment.

For me 2 CMs, one that can kill and one that can create, De Ligt, and Rose staying or quality replacement.

And a decision on our Number 2 goalie. Personally, id like us to go get Butland as no 2, or give Gazza the gloves.

Start believing what I stated, and not being politely cynical folks. The club KNOW they can’t cock up or Poch is gone! They are backing him with minimum 150m plus. If we don’t spend 170m minimum, I will donate 100 smackers to the bins of this forum!

Now enough please. START believing!...:barefoot::barefoot:(y)(y)

Imagine the scenes on the Arsenal and West Ham forums when they hear that we've got £150m to spend this summer.

Appreciate the info Hercules.

Obviously taking this with a pinch of salt though. Literally every transfer window we’ve ever had there’s been some info about a massive splurge.

I’m hoping that due to the new Stadium we are actually now in a position to back our manager.

Let’s see how it plays out.

Can't see any argument why we wouldn't pump a bit more funds out this window. Our stock must be as high as it's ever been across Europe with how we did in the cl group stage and even against Juve for most of the 2 games, add in the new stadium and players like Kane and Eriksen then players will want to come and play....as long as we can offer enough in wages for the bigger names ( which is my only doubt )

Even posh must now be a name mentioned around Europe and could even help bring players in! So for me the right time is now before we lose the opportunity.

They probably won't believe it. Even I am not sure I believe it. My heart says go on, believe. My head says "lol nah". Love the itk and so desperately want them to be right, and hopefully quick.

Why would butland want to ever become a no 2 haha

Not sure why anyone should be surprised or why it should solely be put down to Poch putting pressure on.
Our footballing revenues alone will be £400 million next season. Our wage bill is, if I remember correctly, around £125 million so we can increase that to £200 million (still 50% of turnover) and spend £150 million on players.
Extra stadium revenue can be put towards the stadium cost and running the club.

However, Poch's head will be on the block if he gets it wrong. Our objectives will change accordingly with our extra spending.

I agree, but if we really want to contend and lose the “nearly men” tags, we need proper investment in big time players and not a scatter gun approach on youth
