Lewis is worth over 5 billion, would be nice if he went all sugar daddy on us in his old age.
Doesn't have to. The club has so much money, they wouldn't know what to do with it if they got a cash injection. Yes yes yes I know "we are building a stadium". But for instance look at the last tax bill, when has Tottenham enjoyed paying that much in taxes? Must channelise funds in a better way.

Oh god. This is my fear with backing Poch full throttle. Some of his signings have been abject failures and I believe its because he gets thesevery wrong ideas in his head based on a few performances. He needs to be saved from himself when that happens. Zaha is not close to a player we should be going after. Levy is going to have to walk the seemingly very thin line between saving Poch from himself and backing him full throttle this summer, I fear.
Glass emptier than usual, I see.

I won’t go as far as to say this is infallible, but this from VY should be stickied on page 1 of every itk thread this summer, if VY is confident we should all be.

Thanks as ever big guy!

How come?

Shouldn’t we just take with a pinch of salt like the rest, or is VY a bit of a JJ?

Sorry for asking, just not really seen anything from him in recent years on here. I know he used to post on BBC 606

Love JJ but unless something has dramatically changed my memory is that Vals input comes from the top table and what he reveals is only when he’s certain.

But then someone else gave me a spam... Dun dun duuuunnn
On another joyous note, a friend who is a Gooner and season ticket holder, but whose wife and daughter are Spurs STHs, contacted me to say that his son was singing Spurs songs at Wembley. Hitherto, his son has been an Arse fan, but told his dad that he was thinking of switching allegiances.

I think there's an unspoken rule that if you call out a poster for rating your post what you would perceive to be negative, that post gets spammed ta f***.

Was it @Dougal by any chance? ?

No, it was not The Dougal. The problem with unspoken rules is that you can't hear them.

I'm greedy. I'd like a double helping of HK and CE from Iggy next.

Edit: and a Dele on the top! ;)

Agree with that. However, this feels like opinion, albeit an informed one.

Thanks to GF, as usual.

One thing about his input........ why will the new contracts be sorted first?
Surely some players will want a positive sign from the club that we are going to invest in/buy top players.
Actually make purchases not hearsay.
I'm not so sure they'll accept Daniels word readily and will want to see the new players signed before committing themselves to longer contracts even if including a pay rise.

I was thinking about this myself.

Unless we have deals practically sown up behind scenes and can present this as evidence to our star players (I hope so! ??).

Blimey mate, even that's pessimistic for you. It looks like we finally get the green light for our best manager in ages to spend some big bucks and get backed by the chairman, who many have slated for not doing so in the past, and now we have to save him from himself in case he spends it wrong............................................................
