Told myself I’d watch more of the championship this year. It’s an entertaining league.

Anyone else watching Villa-Brentford? Quite like what I’ve seen of Grealish, and Brentford’s keeper seems a bit of a clown..

Yep, been watching. Missus has this crazy notion that we're turning over to something we both can watch.

Totally oblivious to the fact that me putting Emmerdale on for her was foreplay to the football. I mean Emmerdale. ...what for nothing, I think not.

Anyway, Villa just gone a goal down. Game on.

Isn’t emmerdale on about four times every evening? Then replayed on a Sunday or something horrendous.

Thumping finish for the goal.

Isn't Brentford's 'keeper former Spur David Button?

I can see why we were interested in Grealish. The way he plays I can see how he could fit in.

Yeah Greaish is definitely a Poch type, always looking for the ball and isn't afraid to play in tight spaces.

Just wished he pulled his frigging socks up :sour:

Stoke needed to appoint a manager who had been successful at championship level... Gary Rowett is therefore not your man.

He will be sacked shortly as they cannot afford to spend more than a season in the championship.

Button went to Brighton this summer to be understudy to Mat Ryan.

I've seen Daniel Bentley live twice, he was MOTM in the L2 playoff final for Southend v Wycombe in 2015 and he played very well when I saw him for Brentford v QPR last season. So I'm a bit surprised if he's suddenly gone all clown.

I thought 'Luke 1977' was a biblical thing but it turns out it is a Midlands fashion brand.

Old people eh ?

I may have been harsh on him to be fair. When I first started watching he dropped a few crosses and made a hash of a free kick. He’s actually made some good saves since and seems to have settled in to the game.

Looking at Jon Moss always gives me a chuckle - He was the ref for the Liverpool draw in Feb - so many Scouse lives will never be the same again.

Villa have been very sloppy, Brentford been coming on strong. The Villa keeper reminds me of Ian Walker
