I'd like to see Cliff Jones get a run out, in his eighties but when he comes out for any reason he always runs onto the pitch, he looks fitter than me.
I guess he could be a last minute sub and let's face it if we're going to talk about Spurs legends he actually is a real one, a true legend and I love him.

Most of the legends of the 80s are too old to realistically have much involvement. Even somebody who was 20 when we won the UEFA Cup in 84, for instance, is now 55 which isn't a good idea to have running around a pitch chasing players 20 years younger than them. So the team is always going to be predominantly full of players from the 90s and 2000s. Obviously many of the later ones from the Jol/Ramos/Harry eras haven't retired yet and thus aren't available. So you're always going to be picking a lot from an era where our performances weren't exactly legendary. Our of those, somebody who played over 250 times for us and won a trophy is always going to be a strong contendor. He was one of frankly rather few players worth watching in many of the lineups we had in that era.

Ossie just told me he won't be able for it ..

Sorry if it’s been discussed but will either test event be streamed on the club website?

I love the thought of Keano and others getting a game at the new ground. Makes me happy, and I'm even happier that I'm now going.

We should work some kind of training ground set piece for Steffen Freund.

The way he left means he shouldn't be in the mix. Def not a spurs legend for me

Nothing wrong with having ambition and at least he was honest at the time.

Football fans hold onto silly stuff like this all the time, it was 15 years ago, honeslty let it go...

Wonder if Robbo has learnt how to cut down angles with shots from distance. Loved the guy but every long range shot looked like worldies as they always ended up top bins as it flew a few inches past him

But you're ok with the likes of Berbatov & Keane being in?

They both left a bitter taste in the mouth, but at least Berbatov went to the biggest and best club in the country/world and actually won a lot, same with Teddy and Carrick.
Keane, I think he jumped ship but even Liverpool is a club that win things with more regularity than Tottenham.
Newcastle hadn't, and still haven't won anything, of any description since the 1950's
He jumped ship for, what I suspect was the biggest salary on offer rather than the chance to actually win trophies.

Now that has made my day.

One of my favourite days of being a Spurs supporter was his debut at Watford in that pre season friendly.

The buzz around the ground was astonishing on the day.
