So excited about Ginola!
My favourite player as a kid, I still have my Ginola shirt from way back when. I'm going to let my boy wear it on Saturday.

Ok, I've considered some of the complaints at the inclusion of non-legends in this squad as a bit picky so far, but Sebastian Bassong? Do we enjoy being laughed at by other people or something?
Personally I'd prefer it if we were called Tottenham Forever or Spurs Forever. That way there'd be less mocking of certain players; who whatever their ability don't deserve it.

For example Nicola Berti certainly wasn't a football legend for us but he did come and help us when we were seriously struggling near the bottom. For that alone, and the fact that he and Jurgen brushed past me as they ran to a waiting 4x4 within 15 minutes of the final whistle of the classic game at Selhurst against Wimbledon, he'll always have legend status for me!

Also I feel sorry for the Spurs Legends who play in charitable games for us, yet are nowhere near this game. They are rarely of legend status as per playing ability, but they deserve the moniker for turning out on dodgy pitches for good causes in their later years.

Yeah, that’s a good point. I don’t have any ill will against any former player other than Judas, but I do cringe to see the likes of Bassong in a legends line up. Should have just called it Some Ex Players.

Tbf mate we aren't exactly overburdened with high class CB legends (that are fit enough to play)

That's a shame. The guy gave us the best years of his career & wore our shirt with pride and passion.

Wonder if he'll be there just to be part of the event/day?
Depends if Forest make their injured players go to matches as they are playing home on Saturday

It would have been great to have him playing. Always thought it was sad that he never got a testimonial for us.

That actually applies to Sinton, who regularly looks the best player on the pitch. Mind you Mark Falco plays CH!

This is the front cover for Saturday’s match.

It’s a bit weird if someone like Gazza is playing that they wouldn’t have him on the cover but as has been said, he’s a liability re showing up so maybe it was the best thing to do. My guess is that they’ll have a couple of ‘surprises’ on the day.
I’ve given up buying programmes for quite a while. However for £2 then I may well buy this one.

Only just seen this and it literally gave me butterflies seeing those classic boots, thinking about him running out tomorrow and the reception he'd get.

Classic Spurs to balance things out with the inclusion of Bassong though
