Crucial not to concede a goal to Ghent. So, would start with 3 at the back and try to be patient in breaking them down. I am sure we will get good number of chances. Hopefully we take them unlike last Thursday.

My XI

Lloris
Dier, Toby, Vertonghen,
Walker, Wanyama, Winks,Davies
Eriksen,
Kane,Alli
Now Jan is back this would be my preferred team to play against them. Not sure about Davies as LWB but 5 at the back should be more solid and the front 3 should do some real damage. I'd mabye play dembele over winks in this one also.

Lloris
Walker Alderweireld Vertonghen Davies
Winks Dembele
Eriksen Dele Son
Kane

Subs: Vorm Dier Trippier Wanyama Edwards N'koudou Janssen

We need an attacking line up as Gent could get one regardless if we are more defensive or not

We really need 3 goals. Having winks and son instead of wanyama and dier will help do that

sorry but we cant play Jan, there is no way he can do 3 games in a week after his injury. it would be stupid

I think strong team needed but not Jan, we will 100% need him against physical stoke on Sunday

On a separate note, how come Utd have had permission to move their game to Wednesday night? I thought under UEFA rules if a champions league game was being played anywhere then no other Europa league or domestic league game could be played?

I saw this and thought what a joke as Mourinho moaning the other day about them playing Thurs just before a cup final, he didn't seem to have an issue with that when he was Chelsea manager playing us in the final!

I'd say the Gent game is more important than Stoke

We can easily beat Stoke with Wimmer there if need be, and it's very important we don't concede to Gent. When Jan doesn't play we look dodgy at the back and that's the last thing we need on Thursday. If he's fit he plays imo.

The notion of easily beating Stoke is something you know full well doesn't exist and if our coaching staff feel the same I'd be very disappointed.

We have a run of winnable league games now and despite the fact I'd love a cup run, with the league as tight as it is we can't afford any slip ups in our next 8/9 league games

I think the thing with Stoke is that they aren't as Stoke-y as they used to be. Not as physical, not as defensively strong. They've been on a decent run since their awful start to the season, but we should win if we turn up on our game.

Would actually like to see three at the back with Sissoko as a LWB and Trippier on the right. Yeah, it's fucking crazy, but seeing as Rose looks to be out for quite a while more, and Sissokos main attribute thus far has been running up and down the line diligently and at least do his job defensively, it could be interesting to see if it's genuinely an option for us. Davies can't play every game, and he's not suited to play wing back.

Much rather have Nkoudou at LWB than Sissoko

Has Sissoko got a left foot? Come to think of it, does he have a right foot either???!!!

No one starting Janssen? Would really like to see him and Kane up top in a 352.

I'm taking my 10 year old for his first spurs game, he is so excited already. Just trying to work out where to park to come from Worcester and down the m40, I'm thinking Hidlington Park, anyone done this before?

Thanks

If we cant smash this team at Wembley, I fear for the season we play at Wembley in the Premier League. We'll be fucked.
