With their surprising pace and quick passing I don't think this is the game to try Davies as wing back

Winks deserves a start, we looked that much better and played way faster with him and Wanyama.

Winks has been great, but I'd prefer to start with Dembele and bring Winks on later. Either way, we need to try 343 with Davies wide and Dier, Toby and Verts at the back.

Verts I'd want to start v Stoke, so I wouldn't play him. Play a flat back 4 with Wimmer, and start Dier alongside Wanyama. I'd probably keep Trippier in and start Walker v Stoke too. Make as few changes as possible to keep the momentum from today, after a dismal run of 4 games where we didn't score once apart from a pen.

Lloris
CCV Toby Vertonghen
Walker Dier Winks Davies
Alli Kane Eriksen

Vorm, Wimmer, Trippier, Wanyama, Dembele, GKN, Son

Maybe Wanyama for CCV and move Dier to CB. Maybe Trippier for Davies

Would go with the same team as today except Lloris and Walker in for Trippier on the bigger pitch, starting Trippier against Stoke. Would definitely have different subs though:

Lloris
Walker Toby Verts Davies
Winks Wanyama
Eriksen Alli Son
Kane
Vorm, KWP, Dier, Dembele, GKN, Edwards, Janssen

I don't know why everyone keeps pushing 3-4-3 when we don't have a left wing back in the absence of Rose. And we don't need 3 central defenders now that Vertonghen is back. Why does Poch like 4-2-3-1 ? Because we have 4 players that can all do fine in the holding positions whereas we only have 1 who can play at LWB. I am ok with 4-1-4-1 or 4-3-3 as alternative systems for the right situations but 3-4-3 not right now.

We do have a player who can play left wing back in GKN but he doesn't get a look in. Look at Chelsea yesterday, Pedro was playing left wing back. As long as you have 3 solid centre backs and a defensive midfielder then you can pretty much play wingers as the wingbacks.

I'd save Winks and Wanyama for Sunday against Stoke. Thought they looked great today, perfect balance between power and finesse.

Dembele and Dier were great last season, and I'd like to see them on Thursday night as a pairing again. On the big pitch at Wembley I think Dembele will benefit from having more space to surge forward with. Not keen on seeing Dier at CB anytime soon again, think he's better in midfield.

Kane

Get the game won and take off the likes of Kane, Eriksen etc.

For Sunday I'd bring back in a fresh Walker, Winks and Wanyama.

Dier for Wanyama would be my only change. Trippier was good today, Walker can play vs. Stoke.

I know it's a little difficult to judge because Fulham were far too open and gave us acres of space and time on the ball much like we gave Liverpool last weekend but Trippier has made a good case for being selected in front of Walker for the 2nd leg at Wembley next week as more opportunities and crosses seemed to be coming in from the right, question is will Poch see it that way ?
