If Llorente can't get a place in the starting 11 with both Kane and Son unavailable, then we're doing nothing but wasting his career. We already ruined Janssen's career, let's not do the same with Llorente's, please!

You do know how old he is right?

I watched almost every game Jansen played and he just seems to me not good enough for premier league football plus in this situation where needs must and he is being ignored by Poch ; there must apart from my lowly opinion of not being good enough an unknown reason Poch does not fancy him .
It seems Sterling might get a look in so roll on the youngsters.

He's better than a lot of the centre forward dross that's out there in the league, and most of his instincts were right - I rarely saw him put in a genuinely bad performance.

Poch has made a mistake by publicly writing him off IMO, yes we have Llorente but injuries can happen to anyone at anytime. If Fernando pulls a hammy in the first 5 minutes against Fulham, we'll look pretty silly with a £17m striker on our books who we've decided we don't want to use.

I think pochettino has cut his nose off to spite his face a bit with janssen. Considering the situation the guy is a Dutch international that cost £25m. Surely he warrants a bench place. And would also likely aid a sale that people know he’s still alive. He’s also been prepared to turn out for the U23 not like he’s sulking. Very odd situation.

Totally agree, though not sure where you've got £25m from, Janssen cost £17m.

Lloris
Alderweireld Sanchez Vertonghen
Aurier _____________________________ Rose
Winks
Lamela Dele Eriksen
Llorente

Gazzaniga Trippier Davies Dier Skipp Nkoudou Parrott

Parrott played 120 minutes on Friday night, there's no way he'll be in the squad. It'll be Sterling instead.

Not Trippier. Continually costs us goal after goal

I'd rather rotate aurier and kwp personally, but we know that's not gonna happen so actually makes sense to have trip play today and save aurier for Thursday.

Given our available personnel I would consider three at the back with Trippier pushing far forward crossing for Llorente and Alli.

Lloris
Alderweireld, Jan, Davinson
Tripper, Davies
Winks, Skipp
Eriksen, Alli
Llorente

Would like Sissoko to play but hope he is fit for Thursday.

Would anybody prefer to deploy Foyth in the 'Dier' role alongside Winks in midfield? I don't feel safe with Skipp there, too soon for him to start away from home against a team battling for survival.

Lloris
Trippier Toby Jan Rose
Foyth Winks
Lamela Eriksen Dele
Llorente

Edit: Lucas not fit so Lamela instead.

I don’t think anyone has ever suggested that in this thread or those that preceded it.

Have you even watched them play? Fulham are not dreadful... defensively yes but attacking wise they are decent and are good on the ball.

We lack in terms of attack without Son & Kane & Lucas, this will be a tough tough game.

We'll be fine. They're sure fire relegation fodder. Have you seen Pochettino's record against promoted sides?

Obviously the team above is extreme and we won't rest that many, but we should be fine to rest some and still get the points. Parrott/Steling won't start, but I'd expect one on the bench and for him to.get 20mins.

The Chelsea game is important.
Eriksen, Lamela and Llorente will not be able to play 180mins in 4 days.

Its arrogance like this why we slip up. We should take each game one at a time and try to get a win without underrating the opponent. Every 3 points going forward is very important. We can concentrate on Chelsea's game when it comes.

Naturally we won't rest that many, but we categorically must rotate or we will lose at Stamford Bridge.
It's not arrogance. It's squad rotation. It's necessity. Victory is not a given. We won't underestimate Fulham, but we do need to rotate. If everyone was available we'd change 5 or 6 players between these 2 matches.
Look at the squad. We have 20 available players, including the U21s who've had minutes.
Some senior players simply cannot play 180mins right now.

Why not? Llorente barely plays and in December Eriksen played 5 games in a row with the first 3 being in 4 days and the last 2 in 3 days. It wouldn't be mission impossible.

It's been documented that Eriksen has an abdominal issue and can't do 2 games a week. If he's overplayed and gets injured too, we're in deep trouble.

Lamela similar.
Lucas back off injury soon.

Sanchez, Vertonghen and Aurier also not long back.

Llorente may well start both, but that is a big ask for an older player who rarely features. To be honest I think he'll start today and be hooked if we can wrap the game up, to keep him as an option for Chelsea. Lucas' availability for Chelsea will effect whether Llorente starts that one.

So, he's still a pro football player, isn't he?

He's still earning fantastic money which means he will never have to work again in his life. I would assume he is on £50k per week. He can move elsewhere should he want to and someone else want him.
