Who said HK wasnt fit to play aganst BD in the CL? Poch was in a PL press conference was he not and was being smart imo......

I said in another thread I thought we were being very smart with these injuries. I would not be shocked at all if Kane starts, fully expect him to be on the bench

Sancho article:
https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...n-sancho-tottenham-champions-league-interview
And now standard comment - Levy has been good but why on earth didn't he push harder for Sancho. SO clear Pep wanted Walker and am sure they would have folded if Levy had held firm....

it was just bad timing.

when the walker deal was going through we wanted sancho but at the time he was still fairly content at city, it was only when he wasn't named in the squad for the us tour that he went awol and forced a move away, had the walker move been a few days later then we'd have had a much better chance at working sancho into the deal.

Jan was solid at LB

Could have really done with Rose's tenacity and pace against Sancho :(

Jan clearly the better defender though

I mean, he clearly isn’t “shocking” nor “a liability”, otherwise he’d be playing in League Two.

He’s a good player with some weaknesses to his game which mean in some scenarios he’s less effective than Trippier, whilst being more effective in others.

This casual labelling of players as “crap” or whatever using these ridiculous absolute terms is so lazy.
He's piss poor, i have watched him enough over the last 2 seasons to come to that conclusion, i dont need to elaborate - awful excuse for a footballer.

Hopefully rose isn't being risked in training and working on his own program as mentioned above.

Doesn't sound to promising though :nailbiting:

Trippier let Harvey barnes in behind three times over the weekend . He has no awareness and has never been good enough . Sadly neither is serge

Apparently Jadon Sancho forgot his passport and Ömer Toprak lost his boarding pass at the airport.

I'd like their trip to continue going tits up from here.

Word is out that both Davies and Rose are set to miss tomorrow's match. Jan at left back then

Rather significant absentees from Dortmund which only seems fair considering our injuries to Dele and Kane in particular lol!

I suspect Rose will still make it despite missing training today.

With concerns over the form/ability of Trippier, Aurier, and KWP, I do wonder if there is a shout to play Dier at RB?

Won't happen but interesting if we went for:

Lloris
Dier, Sanchez, Toby, Jan
Sissoko, Winks
Eriksen, Son, Lamela
Llorente

Not spectacular but very solid with lots of movement in the 5 behind Llorente.

Likely to be:

Lloris
Jan, Sanchez, Toby
Aurier, Sissoko Winks, Rose
Eriksen, Son
Llorente

#thfc Pochettino on Danny Rose: "Tomorrow it’s impossible for him to start from the beginning. Tomorrow we’re going to assess whether he can be on the bench.”

Not sure what all this stuff is a bit Aurier playing bad is about, he has not made any major clangers this season like Trippier has and his attacking threat and linking with Sissoko works really well down the right. Is the Aurier abuse just another load of rubbish because he made some mistakes last year in his first season and obviously that means he cannot improve and play well ever again.

We must try and take advantage in this leg with all there absentees! Be relentless, we have a lot of time to recuperate after before burnley.

I feel we need a 2-0 to stand a 'good' chance of progressing.

Jan at lb is fine with me. He is a very good outlet and will probably solidify the defence.
