we need to win this...if we do then we know we can win the champions league ...we can't keep bottling big games an expect to win a trophy
If we go full strength I'm worried about injuring/exhausting our already tired team. We have 4 matches in the next 10 days, 3 in the league and the semi. Brighton and West Ham are must wins. Sadly I feel like is arguably our best rotational option with our current injury situation.

I can't see Wanyama starting 3 games in a row and Skipp is our only other CM option besides Dele. Imagine if Verts, Toby, or any other of our key players got injured before Ajax. We'll be screwed w/ Sonny already banned.

We need to rest players mentally and physically

Gazzaniga
Walker-Peters Sanchez Foyth Davies
Dier Skipp Eriksen
Lamela Son Lucas

Subs: Vorm Jansen Dele plus 4 youth players

Son because he wont play first leg

Then make 7 changes for Tuesday

I think we have to limp through this, potentially we have Dier, Winks, Sissoko and Lamela back next week.

Could be a timely boost that sees us in good stead with fresh legs in the midfield for the onslaught to come.

Lloris
KWP Toby Sanchez Jan Rose
Skipp Wanyama
Lamela Son Eriksen

Subs; Gazzaniga trips Llorente Alli Dier Lucas Foyth

4 changes to add some energy, strong bench, I would expect to use Alli and Lucas off the bench.

Moura has hardly played all season im sure he can play, Eriksen, Dele need a rest, Son can be rested nearer the 2nd leg.
Probably gonna lose but we don't want to get a hiding and fuck up our goal difference and moral.

Hugo

KWP. Foyth. Sanchez Jan Davies

Skipp. Wanyama

Son Llorrente Moura

Need to pick our battles, City can bring in a whole squad of fully fresh multi-million pound players like Sane, Mahrez & Jesus, etc... while we have to rotate with Skipp, KWP & Marsh.

Vitally important that we don’t pick up any more injuries as we have three massive games next week and the players need to be ready for those.

I would go with:
Lloris
Walker-Peters Toby Sanchez Foyth Davies
Dier (if fit) Wanyama
Son Eriksen Lamela (if fit)
Llorente

City could field a complete fresh XI:
Muric
Danilo Stones Otamendi Zinchenko
Fernandinho Delph
Mahrez Foden Sane
Jesus

Anything from this I consider a bonus.

Hopefully we can keep it tight at the back. They’ll need to win which could give us chances on the counter

We have gone into so many games in the last few years fearful of losing. Barca away, juve away, real away, pool away, utd away etc and this team has surprised us. They just keep on going. In every single interview poch speaks about being ready to fight and suffer. The only times that he has openly criticised the squad is in games where we haven't shown that fight, Burnley and Southampton away for example.

There is no way that we go into this match playing to lose or to limit the goals we concede. It's not how we do things. The players will believe that they can get a result.

I'm amazed with how many people think that Wanyama will play again. Perhaps I will be wrong. but I got the distinct feeling he wasn't expected to play on Wednesday and looked absolutely and completely shattered at the end. If he hasn't injured himself, he may be on the bench through necessity. On the other hand, I suppose they could ask him to play the first half but , if he does feature, it will show that we are absolutely down to the barest bones.

Wanyama, rose and trippier 100% wont be in the starting 11. Anybody including them 3 are being abit naive tbh. Theres a few more that are 50/50 too such as eriksen, son and possible jan OR toby.

I don't understand why everyone thinks City will be bang up for this and we will be down and out.

We are the ones who should be full of confidence, they have just had a major knock to their season.

And the total running in the CL game was city 110km, us 113km or something. Very little difference, so not like we expended way more energy

I've pretty much written this one off. Man City will be well up for this with the title at stake and also seeking revenge for Weds. They can also bring in a lot of fresh players like Danilo, Zinchenko, Fernandinho, Stones, Otamendi, Foden, Delph, Sane, Jesus etc. We on the other hand are struggling to find enough fit players to even have a full bench. The most important thing is we win all our other games, especially the home ones. Our squad is stretched with injuries to so many senior players - Kane, Sissoko, Winks, Dier, Lamela, & Aurier, and several walking wounded like Wanyama & Dele. The game on Weds was so intense that the players on both sides will be physically and mentally fatigued, especially after a long, hard season straight after the WC. So, Man City rotate with 6 or 7 fresh senior players coming in their most important game of the season. I can only see one outcome.

Dier looks like he’s back in the match day squad from pics on the club’s social media. Helpful if Sissoko and Winks out for longer :)

haha totally forgot about Vinny, kind of want to see him play, but would rather Parrott get those minutes.
