I am perplexed that some people are putting the likes of Eriksen, Wanyama and Dier in the team. We are playing a League 2 team that scraped past a seventh-tier side to reach this stage. Some of the teams in this thread are better than the one that beat Aston Villa, a much trickier tie.

Can't believe so many have Jannsen in their line ups...

We should be going all out for the cup. We got lucky against a very poor Villa side last time imo, Wycombe are no push overs, if we tit around with this, our last cup game at White Hart Lane could be an embarrassing defeat to lower league opposition. That would be fun wouldn't it?
We didn't get lucky at all, we were (eventually) the better team and missed several clear-cut chances on top of the goals we scored.

Even if we played a complete Second XI (which I think we should do), our team would comprise of around 6 international players. I don't think we should do what Liverpool did, which was playing nearly an Academy XI against a League 2 side, but come on, we really should beat a League 2 team at home comfortably with any side we put out.

When you say we should be going 'all out', are you therefore suggesting that we should play our starting XI against Wycombe?

Anyways, here's my team:

Vorm
Trippier - Carter-Vickers - Wimmer - Davies
Winks - Onomah
Sissoko - Son - Nkoudou
Janssen

Subs: Lopez, Walker-Peters, Dier, Amos, Edwards/Alli, Eriksen, Kane

It's too risky to put Winks and Onomah in midfield. Has Onomah even played central midfield? Dier or Wanyama has to partner Winks for this game...

Vorm; Trippier, Carter-Vickers, Wimmer, Davies; Dier, Winks; Son, Sissoko, N'Koudou; Janssen

That's exactly what I'm suggesting. We should be trying to win the FA cup in our last season at the Lane. We have a long history in the cup, realistically we aren't going to win the league, so we should go for it.

Playing a rotated side with a striker that couldn't score in a brothel risks us either getting knocked out, or worse still getting a replay and adding a fixture to our schedule just when things are about to get busy. By going in hard with our first choice side, we eliminate the threat early on in the game, then we can just take it easy.

Pissing around is just asking to get our pants pulled down and get embarrassed. I love the FA cup, and I don't want potentially our last FA cup game at WHL to be remembered as a failure.

I really want to see Vinny in the flesh. Don't care about the others, pick whatever team you like, so long as we win.

My son just rang me. He's got 4 tickets!! HELL YEAH, COME ON YOU SPURS!!!!:)

I'd be tempted to stick with the 3-man back line to get some match time for the reserves in that formation.

Vorm
CCV Dier Wimmer
Trippier Onomah Winks Davies
Sissoko N'Koudou
Son

Bench: Pau, Walker, Walker-Peters, Wanyama, Alli, Edwards, Janssen

Mate, it's a fucking League 2 side, not Manchester United.

You're kidding right? Janssen was top scorer in Holland. Sure, it hasn't worked out for him yet, but obviously he should start. No disrespect to Wycombe but they wouldn't have a chance in the Eredivise.

You might be surprised. The bottom end of the Eredivisie really isn't that great. Besides Wycombe are on a huge unbeaten run 14 games or so, having won something like 11 of them. They are well organised and will be massively up for playing at the Lane. We should win but cannot afford to underestimate them.

Need Janssen to start this and hopefully play well enough to give his confidence a boost.

I think Onomah, nkoudou, CCV and KWP might get starts. Hopefully we will get to see Edwards off the bench if he's back training.

They are currently in fifth place in league 2. Do you really think league 2 is a better league than Eredivise? I do agree with you not to underestimate them but surely Janssen is more than good enough against league 2 opposition

I wouldn't start Janssen on the basis that his physical style is meat and drink to lower league CBs, and a poor performance vs such a team would smash his confidence and also give more ammo to those who have already decided he's a failure

Dier is the last person that should be put through this game given our current centre back situation.
I reckon we should put Daniel Levy at the back to cope with the aerial bombardment we're going to be subjected to. I'm not suggesting he'll outjump anyone, but if the floodlights are on the glare off his noggin will blind the fuckers.

After the intensity and nerves of the City game, would be nice to have a much easier game on the nerves !!
Wycombe will give it there all, but we should hopefully have too much quality.
Would love to win the FA cup, and if we win this we are just 4 games away from that.
Will be a nice to see some squad players get there chance to impress and much needed matches (keeps everyone happy), as well as giving some players a rest as well. Think its a crucial game for Janssen, if he doesn't score against Wycombe then what chance does he have? If we are struggling, can bring the big guns on as well, and if we are cruising then give Edwards (if fit) and KWP some game time).
I would go for:
Vorm
Trips, CCV, Wimmer, Davies
Winks, Onomah
Sissoko, Son, N'Koudou
Janssen

Subs-
Lopez, Kane, Alli, Edwards, KWP, Dier, Eriksen (if Edwards isnt fit, then Wanyama on the bench)

That looks fine to me.
