I'd be tempted to play Davies at LCB and Rose LB.

Just not sold on Toby at LCB, he is so limited there in possession when playing out from the back against teams trying to press us.
Much rather he was on the right of the two. Without Jan it gives us a much better balance than any combination of Foyth/Toby/Sanchez in a two.

Personally id play a cm2 of sissoko and alii and bring lamela in for eriksen. His great timing of releasing forward passes to both kane and son will be perfect v uniteds dodgy cb's

How about play Dele, Son, Eriksen, Kane, Lucas and Lamela

Play two central Defenders and two wing backs plus a keeper and hey presto Manure wont know whats hit them

My view is this - our defence is better than theirs so yeah sure, they may score but we will outscore them. I wanna hammer them.

“Wolves beat Spurs 3-1 at the end of December thanks primarily to this developing softness in midfield. The second and third goals scored by Nuno Esperito Santo’s side resulted from Ruben Neves finding the time and space to play a crucial through ball, opening up the pitch and leaving the Tottenham defence exposed. Tellingly, Moussa Sissoko failed to make a single tackle or interception in that game. Harry Winks managed four, but he’s suspended for this weekend.”

Winks is not suspended. Don't know where they are getting that from.

Winks does have 5 domestic yellow cards. However, this season the cut off point was Boxing Day and the last one he received was the league cup semi on Tuesday night. Additionally, he only has 4 in the premier league and from this season the cards collected only leads to suspension if within the same competition, in line with other leagues.

Unfortunately they've been sunning themselves in Dubai all week. I'm a bit worried about this one, we looked so short of legs in the 2nd half last night, and Poch doesn't really have much scope to change things up.
Doesn't necessarily mean a fit and firing performance though. In fact both times we went to Barcelona for the week we came back and were defeated in both games I think. I also have a sneaky suspicion we were sitting deep on purpose vs Chelsea and whilst we weren't doing the right things with the ball, I think we were working extremely hard defensively. It'll be a different game I'm sure.

You can't be serious.... Toby has made many assists from LCB the latest being the Kane penalty on tuesday

His use of the ball is infinitely better on the right. How many times did he aimlessly punt it forward to no one or pass it dangerously inside to Sanchez against Chelsea? If we are pressed he isn't as comfortable and it hampers our play out from the back. He is obviously playing there as Poch feels he is more comfortable there than Sanchez would be but it's not for me. The quicker Jan gets back in the better.

What were you watching? Toby had the highest pass % in the game :stop:. Amused that you think Ben Davies could be a better job at LCB than toby against the pace of rashford/martial.

Given the news of Manure's traveling squad, I might go three at the back:

Lloris
Sanchez Toby Vert/Davies
Trips Sissoko Winks Rose
Eriksen Son
Kane
