Id like us to go get a few goals in this and I think we will. Son and Moura should start too so we go more or less all out attack. I think Noocastle can pose a threat but if we approach this game properly and none of this passing it around at the back then hoofing it i think we can score a few.

I'm of the opinion that Winks isn't fully fit and whilst i'm not looking to throw him under the bus like some, I would suggest this is a match we can look to rotate in the middle of the park.

Take the game to Newcastle, go 433;

Lloris

Walker-Peters Sanchez Alderwiereld Rose

Dier/Skipp/Wanyama
Ndombele Eriksen

Moura Kane Son

Stick all the players names in a pot and just pick 11 out - they'll stuff an appalling Newcastle side.

The subs are almost as important as the starting XI nowadays with the amount of times the manager has to change things round.

Personally don't see how Lamela can be dropped for this, he has looked the best he has for a long time. I have a feeling Eriksen will be dropped for this one though.

I'd love to see son & moura either side of kane. Lamela deserves another start too.

This is great. I'd like to see this but I think Pochettino will persist with
a) Sanchez in place of Jan
b) Winks, Sissoko and Ndombele as a central 3
c) and therefore one of Son/Eriksen/Moura dropping out (I think Eriksen will drop to the bench).

The good thing about VAR is that the Mike Deans of this world will find it difficult to replicate his past refereeing performances where he went so far in his attempt to prove he was not pro spurs that the outcome was his performance was definitely ANTI spurs .Tosser.
Long live var on balance we will lose some and win some decisions but the downright awful will not happen
Witness Mendes goal / non goal . witness Chelsea at Wembley where the ref gave a goal against us while on the half way line when clearly Gomez had saved it. Two nil up at Old Trafford when Martin Jol was manager and a penalty was given that was clearly not and the ref apologised after the game because he it was a wrong call but it allowed United back in the game that they were destined to lose .
These incidents are not that much of a rarity as they have happened at regular intervals mainly against Man Unt / Liverpool /Chelsea /
So as I say long live Var we will win some and lose some but the games where we come away feeling cheated are unlikely to happen again .UP Yours Mike Dean.

Wouldn’t be averse to Lucas being on the bench though, I’m not sure how effective he is against a bus-parking side, but an early goal is crucial and the boy can finish. It was a toss up between Winks and Sissoko, but I feel Sissoko has been pretty poor in the 2 games so far. Could even go with Dier and really give Ndombele and our full backs license to attack. Whatever we do, just no fucking diamonds please Poch

Hope he does not drop either. Just replace Sissoko/Winks with Sonny and go 4-2-3-1....can not be too difficult...

They've been trained to pass it around at the back and are getting really good at it. Won't change.
