A bit nervy initially, only increasing in nervousness until we get the first goal. Score early, and then I think it will be more relaxed.

Huddersfield has been utter shite all season and have nothing to play for, so really no excuse not to win on saturday if we want top 4.

Shouldn't even let the team think like this. I still get chills thinking about that loss to Newcastle on the last day of the 15/16 season. That game should've been a gimme but we didn't apply ourselves and ended up getting embarrassed.

I am normally the first person to say prioritise CL qualification and I absolutely want us to ensure that we get 3 points on Saturday

That said, (and somebody already jinxed it so don't blame me) we really should be able to make some changes and beat Huddersfield at home in the new stadium with the crowd behind us. Last night's result means that we can go really tactical in the 2nd leg a la Dortmund etc. e.g. a 3-5-2 with Son and Moura/Dele as the breakers. We have a really good chance at a CL Semi. This is what we're in it for !

And back to Huddersfield, while others have said start with the first XI and sub off I'd go the other way and say make changes first and then bring in impact subs if we have to (at half time / very early 2nd half if we are not ahead)

At the end of the day, you can only make 3 subs so it means the other 7 outfield players playing 95 mins.

I won't suggest an exact side but like a few others I suggest benching Son, Erikson, Sissy, Rose, Trippier, Toby. As I say, 3 of those on at half time if we haven't made a breakthrough

Ticket exchange up and running for Huddersfield if anyone needs tickets but bring your own beer:).
If Sonny is carrying a bit of a strain then we have to be careful. Llorente and Lucas up front both should be fresh.

If Son is any less than 80% he should been on the bench, we can’t afford to lose him and Kane for the remainder of the season. We’ve all been saying “1 game at a time” for weeks now so we should park the semi for now and focus on Saturday. Best team plays, get 2/3 goals before HT and take off Son, Eriksen and Winks/Sissoko for a rest.

We had an extra 3 days rest over city before this game and we’ll have another days rest over them going into the second leg. They have an absolutely huge game away to Palace on Sunday, a game where they’ll have to play their strongest team. Yeah, we’re playing Huddersfield but I will go fucking mental if we start that game like a bunch of tarts with no intensity. We don’t have to worry about saving people for Wednesday, City will be just as tired if not more so.

Worse case scenario and Son and Alli are injured I’d go for

Hugo
Tobi Sanchez Jan
KWP Sissoko Winks Davies
Eriksen Moura
Llorente

If Son and Alli are ok I’d play

Hugo
KWP Tobi Jan Davies
Winks Sissoko
Moura Eriksen Ali
Son

They have a new manager and nothing to lose coming to a brand new stadium. and they aren't playing too badly ATM either.

No way we should be resting players and Winks needs game time IMO.

Best case scenario we finish the job early and then can take off a few key players.

Usually find after a big game like yesterday and your playing lesser opposition in the next match the atmosphere normally suffers, being a 12:30 kick even worse. Got make a noise from the start and get behind the lads

Whats all this talk of resting anyone at this stage of the season...

We are in the final run in and all games are vital.

Ease up the training schedule, but no time for any fuck ups resting players.

As per my post above we rest 6 of the first 11. This would be my side except if Dele is fit (he would have to have broken that wrist not to be (and even then it's often ok) I would play him instead of Erikson as he's had plenty of rest recently

I'm in two minds, part of me wants to go with the front 4 we will play City with so they can get some practice in, other half of me says to rest a couple of them.

I'd go either

Lloris
Trippier Alder Sanchez Davies
Wanyama Winks
Moura Eriksen Son
Llorente

Or

Lloris
Trippier Alder Sanchez Davies
Wanyama Winks
Moura Dele Son
Eriksen

I think I'm playing Eriksen in that false 9 position, similar to Fekir and he's done it for Denmark. I think it's better to have him further forward interchanging with Moura and Son and give Dele more defensive responsibility/runs from behind. I'm really hopeful that Lamela is back so we can rest Son.
