Lloris
Trippier Sanchez Vertonghen Rose
Dier Sissoko
Eriksen Moura Alli
Kane

Subs: Vorm, Alderweireld, Walker-Peters, Davies, Dembele, N’Koudou, Llorente

I think we could even plump to having Llorente on instead of Sissoko.

These are games in which we have to mop up with 3 points. Its going to be a tough season and we need points early. Fingers crossed if we can enter the new stadium in good shape we can push on from there.
Fulham play open attacking football. I say we go out and attack with a solid base.

Not sure about 3 at the back (CBs)

It's more stable, but you end up sacrificing an attacking player and since we're short of a little creativity in CM, I think overall we'll end up creating less chances

It'd work if our full-backs were creative, but I don't believe Davies is all that great going forward (solid enough full-back though)

I disagree, Davies had the most assists in the league last season for a defender. And we all know about trippiers delivery. Even aurier has a peach of a cross on him, and he can play incisive passes too.

They give us width, something we don't get when having 4 attackers all within about a few yards of each other against bus parkers

Honest to God, I want to see Aurier using his crossing ability with Llorente as his target. Plus, Kane needs a fucking break! If Lamela is not available, then Amos or Dembele could fill his spot.

Yes we have to get Toby back in which means three at the back. Trippier obviously and Rose more games- Davies is great but Rose at his best is the best.

Jury is out with Moura , we can only judge him if he plays in a run of consecutive games, so he must start.

To get the best out of Trippier he must play like he did in the WC, he is a better WB than RB plus i want to see Toby back, hence my selection is ...

Hugo

Toby Sanchez Verts

Tripps Eriksen Dier Dele Davies

Moura

Kane

I think Poch will run with the same team that started against Newcastle. Moura is fit according to Poch. Also Dier, but he had a little fatigue problem during the second half

They're playing 3 brand new defenders so the entire defence has no fluidity and we need to take advantage of that.

I can only laugh at the talk about Kane needing a rest already. Jesus christ. He's rested now just needs to get up to speed again like the rest of them. He played well today but just like everyone else the tempo was slow because it's the first game of the season. He like the others who returned this week were essentially playing their first pre-season game. They all need game time but it wont be long before they're up to speed again because the World Cup wasn't so long ago.

I hope that Kane is not called into the England side in September. He needs a week of building fitness without worrying about being ready for a match on the weekend. Ideally, IMO, he could get a week of fitness in this week and then start a normal week of training game week training next week. Don't think it will happen as I think he will play this weekend so the international break will be the first chance for any "preseason" style training.
