Kane’s NBA’s just come back from a six week lay off and played three matches from start to finish inside a week. We take a 3-0 lead to these guys, this is the time to give him a breather ahead of the Southampton game in my opinion. Additionally, Wanyama needs minutes, until Dier is fit we need to have someone capable of playing a destroyer as a viable option. Llorente has shown he can be trusted, let him and Son pick up where they left off, and in a game that we are likely to play on the counter his height is a good option.

If Kane is fit then Kane plays its that simple he is the one player our opponents are afraid of and even not at his best he demands to be respected on the field

Considering Son and Eriksen's form has fallen off a cliff, I don't see that we have any choice but to play Kane.

Son is the bee killer (or whatever the Germans call him), must play.

Kane can start on the bench

If for nothing else, I would try and get all our best players playing so they can actually find a bit of cohesion and form together. If it were a case of us going straight from those three games to Southampton, I wouldn't be confident at all to be honest. If we have Son, Eriksen, Kane plus maybe one of Lamela/Lucas all playing on Tuesday and playing well, coupled with a good result and general performance at Dortmund I'll all of a sudden feel a lot more optimistic regarding getting a good result against Saints on Saturday. It's been a crap week or so, but if we get positive results in these next two games the outlook will be different again.

It's one of those situations where I feel we need form over rest. Even if dropping Kane and Eriksen (which I wouldn't do anyway) would be the best thing for performances sake, I wouldn't want us to do so it if it's not something we're gonna persist with and we'd just go back to having them in the next game regardless of how we'd play anyway, which would be the case. We need to start performing with our best players on the pitch.

We need to not think this tie is already over. Because it definitely isn’t.

Our absolute best team for each and every game in Champions League and Premier League now. Enough with the “rest” bollocks.

Sadly, Wanyama is done. He was so good. Injuries have taken their toll. Skipp is a better option now, IMO. However, we have no options at the moment so he's on the bench. I'd sit back here to stifle their attack so we should utilize the pace of Lucas and Son on the counter.

Think we will need the most athletic, counter-attacking/work rate team we can field for this one...

------------------------------ Lloris ------------------------------
------- Toby ------------ Sanchez -------------- Verts -----
- Aurier ---- Sissoko ------------ Winks ------ Rose -----
------------------------------Eriksen------------------------------
------------- Son ------------------------------ Kane ------------

3 atb with Aurier & Rose at wing back and counter with Lucas & Son on the field. I'd try to hold them out and see if Eriksen & Kane can get a breather. If its looking dicey in the second half bring them on.

The arrogance to believe that we are good enough to leave a fit Kane on the bench is unbelievable.
Don't remember Kane playing when we beat them 3-0?

Needs a rest and the premier league has to be absolutely the priority with our recent results
