Surely we’d all be absolutely delighted with a point? Winks and Sissoko seems to be the only question? In this match, I think we need Sissoko’s legs but wouldn’t be sad to see Winks.

Can anyone see much different from..

Lloris
KWP Jan Toby Rose
Winks/Sissoko N’Dombele
Moura Eriksen Lamela
Kane

? I can’t. Lo Celso would be a surprise for this one. Sanchez would suggest a big problem with Jan. Son and Dele not ready/banned. Davies/ Foyth/ Sess in no shape yet.

I'll naturally presume you didn't watch our home game against Leicester last season.

So one game? Have you watched any of the other clowns refereeing in this league? I said that it doesn't say much, but he's better than the rest of them.

Yeah I agree, I don't know how it's gonna work - when you set up defensively your midfield three are so narrow that the full backs aren't tracked, leaving them with acres of space on the wing, we saw that against Liverpool.

The only saving grace here is that he plays Sissoko and Ndombele as the wide pairing so they can get out to the respective full backs, I guess if we win the ball back quick enough we'll be dangerous in transition on the counter but other than that I'm not sure.

Yeah I just don't think you can secure the flanks as well as if you were to have dedicated wide men in the setup. I just don't see the benefit of it most of the time. You would think if you sacrifice midfield/defensive capabilities by having the diamond that you would at least more so flourish in an attacking sense, but if anything it's the opposite.

I would love to see us just have a 4-2-3-1 as our staple setup and to maybe change to a diamond if that really isn't working, not the other way around.
