Full strength team, we need top 4 for cl. Then concentrate on Ajax. Fuck playing Everton last game for a win. They are looking a decent team recently.

Think we have to go full strength or near enough. Without Sissoko and Son we are shit and stand no chance, we have to take the gamble and hope that for once it doesn't backfire. Pretty concerned about this one, the lads will undoubtedly have one eye on the game on Tues, i'm expecting another loss.

i see it’s that **** Pawson, any optimism I had with our depleted squad has evaporated, was thinking we could manage at least a draw but Bournemouth with their extra man not so sure anymore...

I disagree. We really need to take a lot of energy to Amsterdam. I would play KWP Foyth Sanchez Davies in defence assuming we are going Trippier Toby Jan Rose in Amsterdam.

I wouldn't risk Son from the start either. If he gets injured we might as well not bother playing the 2nd leg.
We need Son to ensure the best chance for both top 4 and the Ajax semi. He's had a week's rest. Both these upcoming games are key. I don't think we have any choice but to use him for both. It ain't ideal, but it's just the situation we've put ourselves in.

The last thing we want is our top 4 hopes resting on the result of the last game of the season against an in-form and confident Everton team.

After we put 6 past Everton they went to Burnley and put 5 in their net. It's been that kind of season. Burnley will be looking for some kind of revenge tonight . If Everton don't get 3 pts they may not be fully tuned up for next week. They need to win both games to have a chance of European football.

My XI:

Lloris
Trippier, Toby, Sanchez, Davies,
Skipp, Dier
Eriksen, Lucas, Dele
Son

I want to keep Rose, Foyth, Sissoko bit fresh for Ajax game.

Completely agree. It would be fine to sub Jansson on for Son once the game was won but until its win we will need our best out there doing what they're paid for.

A midfield of skipp (who I’ve never seen pass it forwards) and Dier - who has turned into a terrible footballer, totally incapable of handling his own zone let alone covering skipp - would be an utter disaster. We must go full strength. They’re bloody pros and athletes for god sake and must be able to handle games at crunch time of the year.

Dier all of a sudden hasnt become a bad footballer. Its bit annoying to see people lose faith in him, a player who has literally started every game in any position team needs for previous 4 years. He looked better last game. As for as Skipp - he hasnt put a foot wrong. So, I dont mind trusting him.

I would happily put Sissoko ahead of Skipp, if he is 100% fit. So thats for Poch to decide. I just have a feeling, he is still not fit , given he didnt start Ajax game.

Key for us to win tomorrow is the front 4 : Eriksen, Lucas, Dele,Son - thats where there should be no compromise.

We can rotate defensively, but going forward we need our big players. Get the job done then they can come off.
Two absolutely massive games coming up. Two wins and we are in dreamland. COYS
I’d go...

I think we HAVE to rest.

Gazza
KWP
Foyth
Sanchez
Davies
Dier
Skipp
Lucas
Dele (already rested having done nothing recently)
Janssen
Son

I think people may have misinterpreted this post.

I meant, we HAVE to rest, so play the following.....not rest the following.

I am LOVING Foyth at RB or even RWB, if we play 3 at the back. He is deceptively fast and has excellent feet. Can he put in a cross?

That is incredible as up until that point I think I'm right in saying we had the best away record of any team in the top 5 leagues in Europe. Mental.

A full strength team then send them home to go to bed for 2 days. At this stage of the season they don’t need to train and they should only need 1 day to understand how Poch wants them to play in Amsterdam
