Same as today. Nobody looked particularly fucked, not even Harry. Obviously Dele depends on any injury

It’s the nature of this time of the season.

Sold out now ?

With Dier dembele wanyama out and winks sissoko running on fumes. If foyth doesn’t play CM on Wednesday it’s never gonna happen.

Rose, Coco, Lucas and maybe even KWP have to start. Would even consider giving Winks a rest and play Eriksen in a midfield 2.

Gazza, Tripps, Davies, Winks, Skipp, Lamela, Llorente

I noticed you put Eriksen deeper on this occasion where previously lucas and him were in opposite. Are you thinking how great eriksen has now developed in this deeper role? I think he's far improved in the last few games both positional ly, defensively and his passing range. I didn't think he would ever make that spot his but I'm loving this new eriksen deeper, also he's more involved. I really like him there now where previously I didn't so much.

Think Toby will need a bit of rest. Been going for what, 4 matches in a row now? Possibly Sissoko too. He has been going strong for a while now. Looked shattered at the end.

My offensive and possibly slightly naive bet is:

Lloris,
Trippier - Sanchez - Foyth - Rose
Winks - Eriksen
Son - Lamela - Lucas
Kane

Feel like a but of rotation is neccesary to keep us fresh after this period

Lamela, lucas, skipp, rose to start..

Would be tempted to put Foyth in as 2 games quick from injury from davidson is a bit much. However if skipp starts then Foyth can't.

That's a strange rule.

Assumptions: Aurier and Verts not quite ready so back 4:
Hugo
KWP, Sanchez, Toby, Rose
Winks and Skippy may need to play in CM together (and hope Winks is ok to do so)
Lamela, Eriksen, Moura
Kane

He was great left of the diamond today (still not a big fan of that shape, though, tbh).

Just riding the vibe - stick him that side and let him feed off the form he showed today.

If he'd have had a stinker I would probably have put Moura there and pushed him up.

Saying that, they both could interchange quite easily in-game.

Moura is on par with Lamela for tenaciousness and he's a sly motherfucker at nicking the ball. Great engine and never stops working and can turn defense into attack in a flash.

He loves driving from deep, taking on players directly and causing havoc.

I much prefer it when he drops deep mucks in and helps graft our attacks. I think that's when he's most effective.

You're right that Eriksen's showing much more assuredness when he drops to pull the strings and he now properly understands the defensive side of the job and is much more positionally aware.

Yes he was excellent in that role today.

I'm quite a fan of the diamond, 433 hybrid. I think all of our attackers kane, lucas, alli, lamela and son have good spells deeper and often randomly drop further deep but agreed the drive and tenacity of lucas is very effective from deep. With pochs shuffleboard positioning and formation lucas will always get the chance to drop deep and get involved. If we were chasing a game I'd be prepared to put both lamela and lucas in those outside of a 3 in CM their tenacity and ruggedness would allow it.

Bound to see rotation, and even if Dele isn't too bad I fully expect him to be rested for this one now.

Lloris

KWP
Alderweireld
Sanchez
Rose

Winks
Sissoko

Lucas
Lamela
Eriksen

Kane

Subs: Gazza, Trippier, Davies, Foyth, Skipp, Son, Llorente

*Son to rip them apart second half, also want him a bit fresher for Wolves.

Lloris,
KWP, Foyth, Toby, Rose
Winks, Skipp
Eriksen, Lucas, Son
Kane

I would take it easy on Sanchez after a hamstring injury. Sissoko to rest at bench, along with Trippier, Davies & Dele (if available).

Actually, for the first time in... well, ever, I think Foyth at DM is not completely zany. Winks or Skipp still make more sense to me but, given our injuries (especially Dier), Foyth is probably better at playing the 'Dier-role' slotting into a back 3 when the FBs go high, than either of them. Arguably also he is more first team ready than at least Skipp.

I understand that this is Thinktank's wish list line up. But if you're going to include some pretty left-field choices, it would be good to explain them. That can start an interesting discussion. Otherwise it comes across as being controversial for the sake of it.
