Biss starts for me. You start your best players, we can’t live in fear of a yellow what will be will be.

Also, he’s going to the African cup of nations in a few months anyway so we need to know how to get by without him for a few games. Might as well get a few in now.

Plus there’s the added issue of we don’t want him missing two games and then having to step on the gas against Chelsea. You want him to be loaded and ready to go. Ps I know it’s only 2 games but as you say you play your best XI as and when they’re available.

We shouldn’t underestimate Palace at their place. Might even be a harder game than Chelsea at home.

I believe he also didn't play during the international break so that would be 4 weeks without a game if he doesn't play against palace.

I'm not seeing porro or destiny in the vids posted today in training by the club. Sarr is there though.

Hopefully they're alright. I'm probably reading too much into it.

Yeah no Porro or Destiny to be found in the training video, also no Davies who wasn't in the squad on Monday.

Add Sessegnon and Perisic as potential backups on the injury list and we might have an issue here.

If all were to be out then Emerson takes one spot but who takes the other? VDV goes to the left and Dier/Phillips come into the centre? Skipp or Hojbjerg at fullback?

Not sure about Porro, maybe Udogie has been given an extra days rest as he was brought of for tiredness on Monday.

Vicario

Porro
Romero
VDV
Davies *assuming Udogie is injured* although I think if he is then Emerson will play LB not Davies, we shall see.

Bissouma
PEH
Maddison

Kulu
Son
B.Johnson

I’d like to see Bentancur on the bench and also Gil given some minutes.

I’d not break up the Romero VDV partnership, I’d play Emerson RB and either go ballsy and play someone like Gil there and look to dominate the game so he’s not have to do any defending or I’d use Emerson LB and Skipp as the inverted RB just for this game, assuming Porro, Udogie and Davies are out.

Your idea of VDV to LB could also work I suppose but I’d worry about Dier or Phillips having to use the ball so much at LCB but as palace are missing Eze & Ollise i we’d be ok.

Olise should return for this one, don't fancy Gil up against him. We should win, and I'm confident we will.

We have to play Bissouma, he's playing out of his skin and at the end of the day he might not get booked and be able to play in both games. The three points available at Palace are just as important as the three points available against Chelsea.

Bissouma straight back in, same team otherwise. We need that confidence to keep building and building
