Does seem to be picking up a lot of momentum, just waiting for JJ to pop in to tell us to calm our tits!

My view is for us to get in there before anyone we need to bid an 'unrejectable' amount and get the deals done asap and quickly - that wont happen because a) money and b) well i suspect agents etc would spread shit around to other clubs

Then again Liverscum did what they had to do last summer eg Fabinho

How do you agree a contract with someone who doesn’t want to play in your league? Maybe it didn’t come up in the discussion.

Leave it to Daniel , he got Hugo at reasonable cost. Same President still at Lyon.

“We have had people speaking all night with Daniel Levy. He talks a lot and goes back on what we’ve agreed in writing. The things as they were at 5am were not the same at 10am.
“I would put it at 50-50 that Hugo goes to Tottenham. Agreements have not at all been respected. We’ve done what we can. The negotiation with the Tottenham directors has been the hardest I have ever had to undergo in 25 years.”

Can't help it.... I just love our little gnome.

The same article mentions Sarri and also Pogba - seems like an awful lot of dart throwing, name dropping and fuck all else.

Cant be a contractual agreement if he wants to come to the Premier league lol .....

The general procedure is to get the club's permission to discuss contract terms with the player, and come to a tentative agreement. Once, you've got that you begin negotiations with the club. No point in discussing a transfer fee for a player that is never going to agree a fee.

His agent may have discussed some general contract terms with Juve, but he can't sign anything because he's under contract with Lyon

Considering Sky Italy broke the “spurs closing in on a deal” story maybe Juve’s reps were led to believe that after their meeting with Lyon and they’re who told Sky Italy?

We've also had stories that we've agreed deals in principle with his people and that they were better terms than Juve. Obviously that was a month ago now and things change. I don't think it's a coincidence all these stories are coming out at once. Whether that is good for us or bad for us is anyone's guess and your predisposition to optimism or pecimism will likely dictate what you take from it.

My thoughts as well. This coupled with the "he prefers the premier league" from that Guillaume bloke makes it seem like we're both preferred and willing to pay up.
