I’ve heard that, but since his breakthrough year he’s only struggled for games in 15/16. The season before that he played all but 4 league games, and in the past 3 seasons he has played 32, 29, 29 league games respectively.

Depends on the nature of the injury. It could be something that has healed completely but more likely something that can be monitored and managed. Worst scenario is something that could collapse at any time and end his career.

He’s much more of a secondary scorer who plays behind a striker. Can create some, but not really on Eriksens level for that.

I’ve long since accepted that if we have to replace Eriksen it won’t be with a similar player.

We were tentatively linked by EuroUnited, an offshoot of ParisUnited, whose reliability is still up for debate (also hard to tell when they report something vs just sharing newspaper reports). They were also one of the first to report on our interest in Ndombele this summer.

Although I would say we’re in desperate need for more playmaking types. This team is already filled with players who are better as secondary scorers like Dele, Son, and Lucas.

Secondary scorers aren't creators, though. Someone needs to be able to consistently find these scorers in good positions.

Not only that but Eriksen has been instrumental in our overall build up play. I think it's underrated how he's basically doing the job of two players for us and he's been doing it for awhile now.

That said hopefully improving the midfield can help mitigate this, but even the top CM targets like Ndombele aren't classic playmaker types either.
