From twitter, according to Spanish journalist Sergio Valentín in 'El Primer Palo', if Real Madrid are unable to sign Pogba this summer (who is Zidane's priority), they will go for NDombele instead, who is cheaper and definitely for sale this summer.

So perhaps our chances of success with NDombele may hinge on Real's chances of success with Pogba, but of course it's ultimately down to the player if every team has bids accepted.

Spanish journalists have been all over each other trying to figure out if Pogba or Eriksen is their primary target vs backup and whether or not Ndombele fits into those equations or not.

Yeah, and it seems like this is the first link between Real and NDombele in a while

Solid chance this could be Real pressuring us into selling them Eriksen so they don't move on Tanguy

I wonder what happens if we agree to let Eriksen go, Madrid agree to let us sign N’dombele, and then City come in and sign N’dombele just for a laugh.

An extension on the special relationship perhaps?

Not a clue actually. Maybe they let us get Kovacic or Ceballos? What a massive downgrade from Tanguy those two are, depressing to think about.

(I don't think city are after Ndombele for the record, they seem to be after a pure DM ie Rodri)

Only thing is, why they'd want Pogba over Ndombele. Are they stupid?
Regardless of how good Ndombele actually is, Pogba's won multiple trophies and is more "proven".

Real have rarely ever gone for potential, they want the finished article. That's their MO.

Actually, the previous few windows they have tried to bring in potential and cheaper which hasn't worked for them. So yeah, they may very well be want to re-enforce their MO, as you state.

They can sign him because we'll be signing Ndombele.

Spot on. Buying a player is not like buying a tin of beans where you can hunt around for the same tin of beans where it’s cheapest.

You can place a market value on a player based on many factors, but a lot of the time the true value is inherent to how much the buying club needs the player and how much the selling club needs to retain them.

Yeah... we've bean guilty of this previously.

Potential sweetener?

Author of a white season in Tottenham, Serge Aurier would be on the shelves of Olympique Lyonnais, but also of AS Monaco and Inter Milan.

Since leaving Paris Saint-Germain, Serge Aurier has struggled to settle permanently in Tottenham. Barred by the presence of Kieran Trippier and handicapped by many physical glitches this season, the right side could change air during the summer. According to recent information from France Football, AS Monaco would be ready to bet on him to overcome the probable departure of Djibril Sidibé, an interest confirmed by Soccer Link on Tuesday, but the club of the Principality would not be the only one positioned . Indeed, OL would also like to recover Serge Aurier and would have contacted his agent shortly before the arrival of the duo Sylvinho-Juninho. In addition to the ASM, Jean-Michel Aulas could also compete with Inter Milan, although the Ivorian international is not a priority for the Nerazzurri according to Soccer Link

I don't mind Serge but I think we'd all do this deal, especially if we sweetens any move for N'Dombele.

Soccer Link is the new name for Euro United who were a spin-off from Paris United. Not sure they are very reliable tbh.

I really want Serge to have another year as I think he’s better than what he’s shown but I would be happy for him to leave if it meant this guy comes in.
