Honestly pal, if Ndombele actually chose United over us, we’d have done well to avoid imo.

Household names and/or highly rated
players would only join United now for one reason and it’s not cos Ole is at the wheel.

Because they're arguably the most famous club in the world and only real and Barca can match the prestige?

And of course the money to go with it

I refuse to believe we will pull this off, mostly because I also believe we will never sign anyone ever again, but also because if a club like United is interested, they can easily put together a more enticing financial package to persuade the player (and his agent). They could easily double the wages we could offer, and, he'd still be walking right into that First XI, especially with Herrera and Pogba possibly out the door.

Like us, United are on the look out for a central midfielder this summer - there's a pretty good chance they'll go in for Tielemans or Ndombele

That's true but would you rather play in the CL under Poch or in the Europa under OGS?

its not a mater of affording both. you have to be able to convice both players to sit on the bench instead of starting

With him being desperate to get in the Euro squad, and Deschamps looks favourable about Spurs’ ethos and the characters we bring in/build, reckon that’ll be a factor. Lloris and Sissoko are two stalwarts in that squad under himwith Sissoko only dropping out when his form was dire.

Reckon that will serve us well *fingers crossed*

It really depends, it's hard for us to see it because we're Tottenham supporters

Would I rather sign for Valencia in the CL who have a great manager
Or Barca in the el , who have an inexperienced manager and need rebuilding.
id probably choose Barca tbh because it's Barca

I am really liking how our rivals are starting to sign what many would consider the ‘Plan B’s’ in our transfer list. Makes me think they have realised they can’t get their Plan A’s because they’re going to Spurs.

Man Utd getting James as they can’t get Sessegnon.

PSG getting Herrera and Allan as they can’t get N’dombele

Optimistic thinking? Or is this the new reality? ?

I know that is always the case, it's easier to see through Tottenham tinted views but I honestly think this has much more to it.

Yes United have stature, they have cash, they will always be ambitious but if the fundamentals aren't right there than that can have an effect on the player. Fabregas, Thiago and others HAVE rejected them, especially when Moyes was in charge........and they'd just won the title.

Why?? Because Moyes wasn't enough of an inspiration for them. Is OGS seen as an inspirational coach? Does he appear to be the guy who can lead them to glory? In comparison Poch is now widely recognised as one of the world's best and had his emotional/inspirational character positively screened all over the football media when we made it to the CL final. That will resonate. Players will want to play for coaches like that. Imagine how Ndombele will feel when Poch has spoken to him?

Secondly, we've beaten United to players before.... Bale, Berbatov, and more. Why? Because the players feel it's an environment they can develop and show case their talents. If we are better than United (we are) can match them for ambition and can give players the opportunity to elevate themselves then it will count for a lot. Don't believe that ALL players are in it for the cash. Was Eriksen?

Our biggest rivals are certainly Juventus, PSG, Barca, City, Liverpool and if you said that it was us or any of them, then sure, my opinion would change. But a player ain't going to choose United just because of stature.

Not sure that will happen, especially with a short career and the risk of injuries

That's true, but a player like Zaha, signed a 5 year contract last summer. I'll have no sympathy when he comes out and says he wants CL football.

Same with Sess. I know he didn't want to leave Fulham on a free, but there are shorter options than a 4 year deal.

TBF sessegnon was 16/17 and signed a 3 year deal, if he stays at Fulham we could get him for next to nothing this time next summer and it really wouldn't harm his development that much. Zaha was 25(?) And signed a 5 year deal with no release clause which at his age seems crazy, as others have said it seems Zaha has been poorly advised.

Zaha seems to have as much career acumen as the crazy moose that sometimes possesses his facial features

If ManU continued to get results like they did when Ole took over, I'd consider them a much greater threat to signing Ndombele.

But for the way they finished the season...

Look at the post above & the fear in Zaha's eyes. He's telling Ndombele something from experience.

According to a few reports Jadon Sancho was all set to sign for Utd a couple of months ago but pulled out becuase of how much of a mess they are. Players do turn them down.

If it's true that our offer was better than Juventus financially I think we'll have a good chance of getting him. I'm not fully convinced that he's a priority for either Manchester club or PSG to be honest.
