Let's be realistic. If the best teams in Europe were seriously after him we'd have no chance of signing him.
If all of the big clubs were after then yeah, we'd have no chance. But if it's just between us and Juve and/or PSG then it could well to come down to what each club offers him and his personal preferences.

Juve don't have a manager and are already stacked with midfielders, while PSG are limited by FFP and probably can't splurge on multiple players. We likely wouldn't offer the highest wages but with Poch, the stadium, the training ground, the charms of London and our recent CL run, we're more attractive than we've ever been before. He still might turn his nose up at us but I wouldn't write us off just yet.

What a start to the window if we could tie him up.

I reckon he could have a Van Dijk like impact for us, he's that good.

Do you think this means offers to the player’s agent, or transfer offers to Lyon?
No clue. But I think we've definitely offered Ndombele a very attractive contract financially, and Aulas spoke of receiving offers for the player.

Hopefully we've made a really strong offer that they are considering and this is sort of a last ditch effort by Aulas to say if anyone else wants him now is the time to bid.

Lets get this wrapped up fast levy. I get the impression its mostly done and aulas is just trying to fish for more before the hammer comes down and he is sold to us.
Very exited by this. Will help us hugely in the big games v the teams that are strong in cm.

On the basis of the last couple of games, I will have to wait and see for myself.
I don't think there's any doubt he contributes to the attack and I believe the way he carries himself may lead people to think he's lazy which he isn't, he's no ever ready bunny but he's one of those players who when he gets the ball seems to have all the time in the world and he sees the pass and consistently makes it.

I think you are probably spot on. It’s in Aulas interest for their to be a bidding war but the number of clubs able to splash 60+ million on a CM right now is likely quite small. The big clubs have different priorities, whilst some may be interested in him, they will have earmarked other positions to spend the majority of their budget on first.

Clubs simply can’t spend 60 million each on three or four different players with FFP, even clubs like PSG.

Based on reports, I think we are quite far down the line with this one, hopefully we get it tied up soon.

To me, PSG needs a true defensive midfielder. Allan seems to be their preferred target, I think Doucoure would be a really smart purchase by them personally.

Juve, I'm not sure. I'm sure they like him but with Ramsey coming on board CM may not be their top priority while they figure out who their new manager is and what they are going to do with Dybala and how to shape their team.

Shit, we are actually talking about signing this guy even in May, June. That's what "big club" do. Are we really transforming?

This has been bugging me for a while, and I wanted to see if some of the resident experts on SC could perhaps shed some light on it.

Who would win in a fight between Ndombele and Sissoko?

Sissoko, Sissoko Vs Dembele though would be tough

I'd imagine there'd really be no winner. They would both just lay waste to the world as it all played out. We would never know who won.

Good question. No idea.

Another one is who’s name would get a higher scrabble score? First impression is Ndombele, but looking again I’m not sure. It’s a toughy.

Really hope we get him. We haven’t been linked with any other midfielder the same standard as NDombele. Plenty of other huge clubs in for him and rightly so. It will be interesting to see how this one pans out but I can’t see anything happening until after the CL final

Ndombele isn't even particularly big, his dribbling is as much technical as is it physical. Sissoko would wreck him.

Any question that starts: who would win in a fight between Sissoko and...

Should stop there - waste of breath finishing the sentence
