A good move for Kyle Naughton and a good signing for Swansea if they make it happen. Should imagine we have a deal in place if we actually let him go.

If we could mix the two kyles together. ....We'd have a great RB....However both have faults but both good RBs.
For this transfer though.....if we've got someone going in or poch thinks one of the youngsters can step up....then I would let him got for 5-6 mil.
If not we can't afford to leave ourselves short....not again!!

Overall hes decent.....but if we want to improve ...we need better.

Dier can fill in at RB. We also have Fredericks coming up. Naughton is at the stage in his career where if he wants first team then he has to move on. He probably knows he is not going to play in that role as first choice. He's never going to be an international. Never going to make it to a big European team. If he can get a first team berth at a mid-level Prem team then that is what he should do for his career and I wish him well and thank him for always trying even when played out of position.

Deep in the long grass, Garry Monk sits, spear in hand, waiting.

He spots some tracks, the stud marks from Kyle Naughton's size 9s. He keeps going. Suddenly he spots Naughton. Does Naughton spot him? Monk isn't sure. Monk ducks down to conceal his position and slides slowly towards the clearing. Naughton is close now. Monk can smell him. A mix of deep heat, nandos peri-peri sauce and paco rabane.

Just as he is ready to strike, the Sky Sports News cameras appear as if by magic.

'So, Garry, how's it going?'
Monk, looking startled, mumbles a series of cliches about the weather, the lads, pre-season.
'Are you close to any targets? must be a blow to lose Vorm and Davies'
'Er, yeah, they were both triffic lads and we wish 'em well, but right now I am looking at strengthening the squad. I have been in contact with Spurs about Kyle Naughton...'

...and with that short utterance of his name, Naughton is gone. Back into his Range Rover and off to the golf course. Monk shoots an angry look at the SSN reporter but he will get another chance soon. He must be patient.

As posted elsewhere on this thread, we need strength in depth and competition for places - that means (this summer at least) keeping Rose and Naughton, having them compete with Davies and Walker respectively, and hoping the competition plus Poch and team will improve all four players. We'll also have cover in the event of injury. If we make it to the same stage of the EL as last year, and get half way in both domestic cups then we will have 56 matches this season, enough to keep 2 players contented.

We have Ferericks waiting on the wing, and Dier and Vlad can play RB. So if a good offer comes in, sell and cut back on wages too.
