Watching it this morning, 15 minutes of Pepe so far ?.
Will spurs get more than a passing mention?

Sky generally are a joke, their choice of commentators is more like fanzone

Neville does most MU games, Carra going mental like its scouse Tv with Souness wanker Redknapp and Dalglish daughter in the studio , Tony Gale is always doing the pikeys, Alan zzz Smith on the scum,
It's pathetic

I really like the journos they had on this morning, but yeah they got so carried away talking about Pep and City and we only got a pathetic couple of minutes.

I don’t understand how the story of Pep being criticised after Wednesday and whether or not it’s justified, (they said it isn’t) is more of a talking point than us getting into our first CL semi final since 1962.

Im surprised they didn't pick Alan Smith for our game he seems to commentate mostly on our games waiting to stick the knife in at any chance the boring prick

Alan Smith is usually balanced, fair and often complimentary about us. I guess one time he said something you didn't agree with. That's how it usually rolls on SC with pundits. Souness the same, he's been very complimentary but committed the heinous crime of also giving a view that wasn't agreed with. Its a shame Hoddle is with BT but then again even he got stick in here. I think to be classified as a good pundit on here one would have to gush enthusiastically about Spurs non-stop, slag off everyone else and whop out his old chap and bash one out whilst singing 'he's magic, you know......'

It's ironic because the bad pundits who actually aren't worth listening to are usually the ones that get off scot-free and they (mainly) reside on BT. Sky's pundits are generally not that bad in the grand scheme of things, although Carragher & Redknapp are past their sell by dates now IMO. The guys who specialise in the Championship aren’t bad but I guess not big enough names for Sky.

But even that's probably not going to be enough. I just think it's safer to say that for us, even pundit there's ever been, every pundit there's ever going to be, is a ****. Saves all that bother :D

Smith is, as you say, usually fair, balanced & reasonably complimentary about us. You can almost tell it's through gritted teeth though (understandable as a Gooner) and his voice is really bloody annoying.

Shouldn't detract from the fact he's normally not too bad to endure, but we do love to moan at every opportunity.

Smith has the perfect voice to narrate acts of dogging in the midlands

He tirelessly narrates his way through his own sessions no doubt.

I listen to this as a podcast a day or so after it is broadcast on the sunday morning. Just looking at the title in my feed this morning "Are tottenham stressed out" I know I'm going to enjoy it with the hindsight of what happened yesterday afternoon. :joyful:

I quite like Sunday supplement but the guests are a mixed bag to say the least.

Matt Law, Matt Dickinson, Sam Wallace and some of the new younger ones are all fairly interesting.

Shaun Custis is rubbish, Neil Custis repugnant and John Cross is just embarrassing, the other journalists really look uncomfortable when he's spouting his nonsense. Taking his obvious Arsenal allegiance to one side he really is a 1980's journalist in the modern age, he doesn't actually have any insight or report anything that a 4 year old couldn't come up with. Whilst not as disgusting Martin Lipton seems just as dated.

I find it pretty unwatchable to be honest. 90% of the journos they have on are just trolls from the redtop rags, the host being one of them as well. It's like the Mirror or Sun sports columns just on TV.

It would be alright if they put proper journos on there like some of the ones who do the various podcasts like Guardian Football Weekly and Totally Football Show etc. but instead they just wheel out their idiot mates to talk utter bollocks for an hour. It's like visual click bait.

The sooner BT takes over football coverage the better in my opinion.

However, I did think this morning about these kinds of comments. We remember the famous words around even failure has an echo of glory. We had average expectations at the beginning of the season with no signings etc.. Sky only made a big thing about it because they love to talk about money every transfer window and it is a chance to put terrible yellow ties on, it is a circus. We excelled first half of the season, but everyone is judged for the whole thing.

We fell short around February, they are only human. Our last few games have been OK, but we just have no energy. Have we failed this season in the League? I think their debate has come from the fact we were so close to the title pack a couple of months ago, then we just fell apart. But equally we are successful because even the most optimistic had thoughts we would not get into the Top 4 over the course of a whole season. So I think in some of their points they are saying we achieved based on the pre-season thoughts, but we were close at say 3/4 of the way through the season, we fell short and are now scrapping through to get Top 4. Let us not forget having to play at Wembley and moving the stadium date several times, it affected us fans, I am sure in affected the players too.

For me personally, I am proud of this team massively considering all the elements, injuries, energy lapse. We are in the top 4 and we have the opportunity to be in a FINAL of the Champions League. There are teams that have been in the competition for decades and not managed that.

Also, I do not watch these things anymore, nor do I listen to TalkSport anymore either. If you cannot stand something over and over again, why bother with it. I feel less stressed definitely.
