From what I hear, and to be very frank, there is a growing list, mostly young. Da Legit is one that we are really keen on. That all depends on the Toby situation (exit very likely). RS, still very high, of not tops of our wishes

Poch has to get this right with his choices. LB is a key area, along with ACM, and forward to replace Llorente. I can’t see Rose leaving, due to his personal situation.

Interesting that we want a LB. You mentioned previously that Rose would struggle to pass a fitness test.... Does that mean that Davies could be off?

I'm still wondering about that player that you said we had lined up for the summer. Is that deal still looking good?

A bit worrying. To me, CM and RB are two areas we need strengthening the most.

Right Back? Our RB group is much stronger than our LB group, especially if we can't offload Rose and upgrade him. Aurier's got intelligence issues, but no more than Walker had at his his age. And we have KWP coming through who could potentially be better than all f them.

I'd say, assuming we sell TA and Rose we need two CM's and a LB. If we wanted to guild the forward Lilly, I wouldn't have bothered with Moura and just waited for Sessegnon. If we are going to add an AM, we don't need any more pacey chickens with no heads, we need some quality and intelligence. Fekir, Draxler eg. Hell, right now I'd swap Lamela for Thauvin, who's pretty much become the identical but better version of Lamela, who scores goals as well as making them and works hard like Lamela.

Has Thauvin got pace, or does he run like a bandy-legged chicken?

Obviously like most I would love to sign Sessegnon, but I also wonder whether it would be worth having a look at Mitrovic if Fulham don’t get promoted.

Every says we can’t get a top class CF with Kane being so blatantly first choice, so he could be one under the radar. Came to Newcastle with a decent rep, but just didn’t settle. Has a rep as a nutter but apparently hasn’t shown those traits at Fulham even in a league where you get lumps kicked out of you.

I really hope we get the replacements for Dembele and Alderweireld spot on. We also need to add to that too. Getting it wrong could mean that we stand still. We need to be a step ahead of Liverpool, we can't compete with City and United in terms of spending but we can be try be a bit smarter than Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal.

To be honest, if we sell Toby, Rose and Dembele (Amongst what will undoubtedly be others, too) and we only spend 120m, I highly doubt we manage to replace them adequately, let alone improve.

Replacing Rose shouldn’t be massively hard, any quick left back with a bit of fight will be an improvement so long as they actually want to be here. Rose doesn’t and his performances reflect as much. He just isn’t the player of 2016 anymore.

Replacing Toby the player is very hard, impossible perhaps, but replacing (and improving) on his contribution is far less difficult as, due to not wanting to be here, he’s not playing at all. Sanchez will be better next year. To replace Toby all we need is a poster of requisite quality and experience that we can rely on him to step in for Sanchez or Vertonghen at any given point.

Replacing Dembele will be the hardest because he’s actually been first choice and performed well. The gap between him and any of Winks, Onomah or Sissoko currently seems huge. Replacing the player might be impossible. However, tweaking the style/ system so that a player like Dembele makes the problem go away to an extent.

The Jay Rodriguez links are ridiculous... I know he is well regarded by Poch blah blah blah... He'll be 29 next season and has scored around 30 PL goals in his career. Poch says the team should be aiming to compete in the Champions League. Does anybody really want JRod up front when Kane's down? How about in the Champions league against a Juve or Real? I'm so surprised anybody here wants him. Haven't we learned from Llorente and Janssen that the back up striker situation hasn't really worked out? I really think Son is the one who should deputize for Kane and has done a good job of it when asked. If we feel like Son isn't enough, I think we should sign another player who also has the capability to play up front and out wide. My dream would be for us to go big and get a player like Rashford, Bale, Martial, Zaha (with his recent comments seems unlikely unless Palace go down), Keita or Bertrand Traore.

The center of the park has to be improved. Does Poch believe he has youth that can finally take the wheel? Probably not so I am really hoping we can focus on that area of need.

from what was being said in the previous window I was hoping for a lot in terms of upcoming transfers - now it's all seeming very much Tottenham Transfer Dealing. Hope that's all proven wrong, next year is crucial

We’ve heard of 2-3 incomings but with the shortfalls in the squad and the reported outgoings we’ll need a damn site more than 2-3. If Dembele goes, I’d go for Diawara and Frankie De Jong. We’re then looking at also needing a number 2, left back, poss right back, centre back, attacking central midfield and possibly a decent striker.

Thauvin failed at Newcastle. He failed to score a single goal for them. Now he's scoring at a considerably weaker league. On top of that he has a history of attitude problems, whereas Lamela is the opposite
I don't see how Thauvin could be a better version of Lamela.

If you'd read my views on Thauvin two/three years ago they sounded exactly the same, but the kid has really turned it round last couple of years and has impressed the shit out of me.

Three years ago I called him the shitter facsimile of Lamela, but he's now playing really well, consistently, every week, he works as hard as Lamela without the ball, happy to get his foot in, but I think where Lamela's game, decent that it is, has stayed on the same level, Thauvin has definitely raised his considerably and that's what you want to see in a player. Yes it's France, but lets not forget France produces shitloads more quality players than almost any country on earth. And the thing I like about him is he will get dirty and he does involve himself in the game, he's not just decorative. In terms of product, he's doing it every week. 17 goals and 10 assists from ARM is up there with the most productive of his species in Europe, and last year he was good as well.

I genuinely think he's sorted himself out and he is a very complete player who I think would suit our style completely, graft and guile. But you can't have him and Lamela in the same squad, they are just two similar, they even look and move similarly.

I don't think Thauvin is a bad option persay, but I'd still rather someone else if we're going to buy an AM. Also not convinced we'd be in for Thauvin
