We may attempt to sign 40M+ player like Mbappe or Isco, but realistically we will only get players like Zaha (I still think he is a good player though)

just noticed that mbappe came on as a sub against us when we beat monaco 4-1 last season, they have almost an entirely new team since that game though.

Given we are building a 61,000 seater stadium to afford higher quality expensive players in a big way, if we are playing in Wembley next season with 90,000 capacity do you guys think we will start buying good quality players who will of course we expensive a year earlier?

It'll only be after we've been playing in the new stadium for a good few years that we'll start buying expensive players. We'll be massively in debt and most of the money will have to go to servicing that.

Tottenham set to move for Real Madrid playmaker Isco this summer

Isco’s deal expires next year which means Real will have to sell him this summer - if he does not commit himself to a contract he has been offered

Tottenham are set to move for Isco this summer with the Real Madrid playmaker finally ready to quit the Spanish giants.

Isco, 24, laid on two assists last Saturday as Real beat Espanyol 2-0 at home. But he is considering his options at the Bernabeu as he is concerned at not starting enough games.

Isco’s deal expires next year which means Real will have to sell him this summer - if he does not commit himself to a contract he has been offered - or risk losing him on a free transfer.

Earlier this week Isco admitted he is weighing up his future. He said: “I’m calm. What worries me is to have minutes. A player’s career is small.

“I’m happy here and would stay many more years. From now until the end of the season, we will make a decision. It is my future at stake.”

I'd expect City to try to buy half the Monaco team unfortunately.
We should be buying these players before they get to clubs like monaco or even clubs like southampton. No use in passing on a player then having to pay in excess £30mil once he's had a decent season with the likes of them. This is where our scouting system should be better, like we did with getting your Berbatovs and Modrics in earlier before they reach a decent/rich club where they can command a big fee.

would isco start for us with everyone fit? i know we need quality options to allow us to rotate but it sounds like he wants to be a guaranteed starter wherever it is he ends up(if he even leaves).

I think we will spend big

I think we will get rid of a number of players... Get dem da fuk out...

And replace with proper quality... I think we will clearly buy pace and guile and perhaps one more defender.

If we stick with the 3421 formation then I can't see either eriksen or alli being dropped, we would have to play 4231 and have isco in that 3 with eriksen and alli for him to start every game.

This is where we need to strengthen. I'd put our first 11 against any other in the league but its when a couple of people drop out it weakens us considerably. We should abolish the notion of a starting 11. You look at some of the other sides we are competing with and on their benches there are 3/4 players who would consider themselves to be "start worthy". Yes money helps keep them happy whilst riding the pine but that's where we need to find a balance that works for us. It may well be what stops us winning the league this season and certainly derailed us last year towards the end.

We have a weaker squad than 4 of the other top 6 as the gulf between our starters and replacements is so much greater
