@scoutsattending
#thfc & #cpfc scouts at #sampdoria 1-2 #crotone on Sun to see 21yo Patrick Schick's Bergamp impression & 10th Serie A goal of season

If we we do Decide against keeping Janssen, this guy is worth a look. Just scored a great goal v Crotone. Click on the link if you want to see it.

Even with Janssen we should be looking at him - I think a lot of clubs are interested but I have a bad feeling Arsenal will get him.

There's a little bit of Berbatov about him.... think he was mentioned earlier in this thread

Who would you suggest we could easily upgrade Wimmer with. Bear in mind it will be a player for a reasonable price who is not on big wages, who is happy to sit on the bench and who is a better player than Wimmer?

I rate Wimmer, always thought he was going to be the verts replacement eventually.

I'm talking about Poch's point of view. He doesn't trust him, so no point keeping him around. Any player poch trusts will therefore be better in Poch's eyes.

Will we go back for moreno or musacchio?

Maybe Moreno as he is left footed, isn't he?

This gets trotted out repeatedly. How do you know this? It may be an opinion but it certainly isn't a fact. Poch has experimented with 3 or 4 at the back but I don't think that's any reflection on who he trusts.

Because it's obvious.

Will CCV be ready next year? What about Marcus Edwards?

I know Edwards is very young and there is plenty of time, but I was kind of hoping he would get the off 5 minute cameo, given all the hype.

if edwards isn't deemed to be ready next year then it's unlikely he'll stay beyond his contract expiring(next summer).

He also put Son as LWB instead of Davies whom he clearly does trust, soooo. IMO Son had just made himself undroppable(in Poch's eyes) after the last few weeks so Poch has (wrongly imo) shoehorned him in to the system he best believed would trouble Chelsea.

It seems we're both wrong on this. He played Son at LWB because he doesn't trust Wimmer. I've been told that's obvious.

Hope its a lesson learned by a young team and a young coach.

Got hauled off at half-time...twice? And hasn't been seen or heard of since? Poch isn't one for early subs let alone half-time changes.

There's also the factor of Wimmer not wanting to stay. He made a bit of noise last season about his frustrations over the lack of playing time and he has received even less this year. Then there's the fact that it's a World Cup year and I could see him wanting to go somewhere where they actually play him.

Judging by the weekend it looks to me that we require more experience within the team people that have done it before and know how to help get others over the line.
I don't think it's wise to keep buying young players like nkoudous etc all the time and hope they develop in a few seasons, we need a little bit of been there done it talent.

I think it's been said by many people on here for a while we could benefit from a grizzled campaigner, someone who knows all the dark arts and how to get over the line.

Those kind of winners who still have
the quality and the legs for the PL don't come about too often though, and when they do, they don't come cheap.
