Did any of the Zaha fans watch him against Liverpool today ? Thought he was bang average against a non-existent Liverpool defence. Going to be interesting to see how he plays on Wednesday, no doubt he will do a Sissoko.

It's one game. He's had a very good season.

I don't think he'll play Wednesday anyway. He'll be rested for the weekend.

I think a deal is far down the line with us as well. Just a hunch.

I'd rather take a larger sample size than one match, especially one against a tough opponent o_O

Never normally re watch goals in games we have lost but Kane and Allis goals yesterday were just delicious. Sensational stuff
Agreed I think the Matic strike stole the headlines from what was an incredible pass and goal from Eriksen to Alli. It was sensational.

Top priority is cover for Rose. Beyond that I'd like to see us buy a really top young talent that could become a worldie, someone like Gabriel Jesus or Sane. I refuse to believe that the money clubs will buy up all the young talent in the world. I really hope we don't buy mediocrity like Zaha or Barkley. Any other transfer activity should be squad upgrades where opportunity presents itself.

Exactly- great description of what happened today. When I started ranting at the telly when Hazard scored it wasn't because we'd bottled it, it was simply because they took their chances on the day. That's football, especially when two fairly evenly matched sides are both playing well. I went to a few broadsheet forums after the game because I knew there'd be some seriously daft fuckwittery on here and most neutrals thought we played well in a tense and entertaining game. I've been supporting this club for decades and this is probably the best team I've seen. I'm totally deflated by the result but I'm still proud of the team in what looks like another good season
Good point about two evenly matched teams. I have yet to watch yesterday's game but the league game which we won 2-0 could have gone either way but Alli twice just found a yard of space and finished well. The difference between the side sis one desperate to cross the winning line to show they are more than runners up and one team used to winning trophies and know how to get across the line. Still if Sergio can win the Masters after so many near misses we can maybe win the league!

Sissoko and Wimmer can easily be upgraded, those two changes alone would improve the squad massively. From there, Sessegnon is a no-brainer, and I would like to see us pick up another wide forward /striker type with N'Jie and GKN moved on permanently or on loan.

I completely agree with Sissoko but not with Wimmer. He was excellent last season when called upon and whilst he hasn't been fantastic this year, he has had start stop appearences. It seems Poch doesn't rate him so it is better for everyone that he moves on but I think he would be a good signing for most teams in the premier league, if not in Europe.

Don't often see a game with 3 contenders for goal of the season.

Who would you suggest we could easily upgrade Wimmer with. Bear in mind it will be a player for a reasonable price who is not on big wages, who is happy to sit on the bench and who is a better player than Wimmer?

Will CCV be ready next year? What about Marcus Edwards?

I know Edwards is very young and there is plenty of time, but I was kind of hoping he would get the off 5 minute cameo, given all the hype.

Even if CCV is ready, I would like someone to replace Wimmer as it would allow us to have enough cover to continue to play the back three Poch likes to do.
