Difficult to tell how hard the kick was, but it was a ridiculous challenge. I think the ref actually just guessed at it because he didn't look like he was going to make a decision at all until Scotty was rolling around. Was a red card for me.

red card, no doubt about it. he'd just pushed him so knew exactly where he was and lashed out. Great credit to Parker though, he didn't hide after that incident, he just got straight back into it, no fear. Captains performance to be honest.

On a different tangent, I'm a bit disappointed that Spurs players didn't come in and surround/support Parker. Not in the way Man U do with referees to harass but the fact that Suarez was able to pester Parker while he was on the ground didn't sit well with me.

Not even debatable should have been a red card, violent conduct. No intention to play the ball, just takes aim and kicks Parker in the stomach.

I don't mind the ref missing it, he can't be in a position to see everything but pool got a way with a few last night. They easily could have had 2 red cards.

I'd like to give the ref the benefit of the doubt on the Suarez one, as in real time it was hard to judge, even though it looks very bad on slo mo and on replays. The Skrtel one was a red whatever way you look at it.

But lets get our rose tints of guys, Bale had a shocker and should have gone, he should have been booked for the embarrasing dive, and the subsequent push afterwards aswell.

Im glad we never signed the rat faced prick now.

Don't want any player bringing that much negativity to our club.

Totally agree with you on Bale, he was dissappointing and his frustration came out in the wrong way, definite glimps of an early Rooney or Beckham reaction. When he raised his arms Agger could have made alot more of the push and went down making it easier for the ref to have sent him off. Full marks to Bellamy for pulling him away, about the only plus points I have for Pool today.

Why the fuck did he not lift it over Pepe like he did against Norwich I bet he really is in a foul mood today.

let Bale take it out on Newcastle if hes in foul form, to come away form that shithole with a point is good, we had half a team, on wards and up wards

I'm sorry but those of you who don't think that was intentional need your eyes testing. He knew exactly where Parker was, he knew Parker was going to head it and he volleyed him right in the midsection. How was it not intentional? If his eye was on the ball he obviously seen it was coming no where near where he placed his foot, and he actually looked at Parker as the ball was dropping.

100% spot on. That was a blatant volley, with power to Parkers mid drift. Anyone who says otherwise has serious issues.

moron.

we had 2 free kicks.

Did you even watch the game?

Is it necessary to call someone a moron if they post an opinion you disagree with

Why so confrontational?

Overal I think the ref had a pretty ok game.

I am sorry but sometimes you just have to give the ref some benefit. The Suarez kick after the analysis is red, but in real time I thought Yellow all day long.

Can't see Skrtel having two feet off the ground. Studs up yellow card for me, but haven't seen replays so only going by what I remember from the game.

Think people are fishing for bad things to say about Liverpool, don't need to. They are 7th and playing like Stoke, that's all that needs to be said.

Actually, I thought their best player and personality was Craig Bellamy!

If we are all being honest with ourselves Bale should have seen red too, again I will say fair play to Bellamy for dragging him away.

Fucking ref doesn't know what he is at .

Didn't watch the game, the gif looks pretty terrible though.

On that alone, I'd say red all day long, I'm pretty sure most referee's and fans would too.

Real time, always more difficult.

What the fuck was saurez doing though?

My girlfriend (Villa fan) actually said, 'Bale what are you doing?' when he pushed Skrtel - I thought he was gone.

We need to consider, in all situations, if we reversed things, if it was an opposition player doing something. Had Suarez dived and then jumped up and shoved Kaboul, we'd have been screaming for a red. I'd like to give Bale the benefit of 'riding' the tackle, but it looked a dive to me.

The Skrtel challenge on Bale a bit later was borderline, but again, had it been a Spurs player, would we be saying it was a clear red? I doubt it. Thought Benni's last week was worse.

Exactly, I know we go on about decisions that haven't gone our way, and yes we have had a fair few of them, but we have to be honest about ourselves aswell. Benni's was worse last week, I agree with you there.

Oh, and Molly should post more
