A pre-match giggle - I feel identified - though wish I was old and wise enough not to get those type of feelings until Easter.

I'd prefer the timing of this article to be late April. We've been here before. Not there in a long time.

None of the regular top 4 have impressed me but I definitely feel that Arsenal are the ones best placed to win the title. We are a work in progress, I'm most worried about us fading in the second half of the season.

it will be interesting to see how the team and Management cope with the additional pressure that is now building up. Personally, I can't cope so will revert back to believing that we will finish between 5th and 7th.

Hopefully the team and management aren't cowards like me, and will embrace the pressure and thrive on it.

That is a good example of why I absolutely adore the Gaurdian website. It really is a wonderful read, everyday. Can't recommend it highly enough.

But you can be sure that every player in the camp has been, very privately, thinking 'title' for a few weeks now and it's shown in how they play. There's no way we will lose anyone important in the window transfer window. They're too committed to think about that now.

Agree. I had a horrible feeling before the season started that they might win it!! :(

Top four would be a huge achievement with a side this young. I don't know if anyone keeps figures on this sort of thing but has a team with an average age like ours ever finished in the top four? It's not titlephobia, the team just isn't ready yet. Players like Son and Alli have never been through a season in the top flight over here so it's a lot to expect them to have that title winning nous teams sometimes need. In three or four years though, if we keep this squad together that could all change. Close to top four and a good cup run, that's a great seas

Like everyone I'm pleased with the way things are going and think the future is bright.

However, we are not winning enough games to be title contenders. Simple as that.

Last time I looked we have around 8 winnable games coming up between now and Christmas/New Year and no more trips to places like CarrierBag!. We have drawn too many but if we can get 6 wins out of those 8 then we will be up there with the rest. Still think we are short of what it takes but its the most focussed team we have had for a while.
Be good if we could get Bale on loan in Jan - it is that top notch player who can swing a game (like yesterday) that we need.

We are coming up on the rails. In behind the leaders ready to sprint the last bit.
I think you'll find we're one third of the way through with the proverbial wall to come yet buddy.

The best thing we as fans can do is utterly dismiss all talk of titles until Hugo is holding it aloft.

It's simply ammo for other fans to beat us down with if we talk it up and inevitably fail.
