Actually think be very good loans for Roles and Georgiou probably a league below where could be so will probably shine.
I think that may be Georgiou's level but Roles could very likely play higher. Excited to see what he can do now.

Anyone know if there is likely to be an allocated 'away fan section' for the efl trophy match against Ipswich at portman rd on 3rd Sept?

I think poch will be keeping an eye on him. You could see he was impressed with his attitude when taking the 5th pen in the audi Cup. I was concerned about him for a bit, but predict he will shine bright on loan and get a shot in the first team squad. Personally I think he will be absolute quality.

The competition is so stiff in attacking areas it’s hard to see. In reality he’s competing with Son Dele Eriksen Moura Lo Celso lamela Sessegnon. With Clarke coming and us looking at buying Dybala that’s the standard. And someone like Parrott coming who takes another attacking bench spot. He’d have to absolutely pull up trees and get a championship loan and pull up trees again. Hope I’m wrong but it’s hard to see. For someone to break through in attacking areas in this squad they’d have to be world class. Even Dele ain’t currently guaranteed a start.

Well I'd look at it like this. Lo celso is likely to play left of a 3 midfield / diamond. Eriksen is probably almost definitely off. Sessegnon will probably be eyed for left back eventually. Clarke isn't even here. So really he compering with alli, lamela, son, moura and Kane and perhaps parrot for 3 or 4 spots. There's room. Dybala may or may not come but he's not here.

People have a go at chelsea I always felt they just supercharged what we used to do

During those days we had more out on loan than chelsea

Chelsea sent forty-nine players out on loan in 2016/17, and have had more than forty out on loan fairly often. I didn't check for the same player going out more than once, to be fair, but I couldn't be bothered going through fifty entries on the list. We've never been quite as bad as they are.

Luke Amos starts for qpr. CCV not in squad for Stoke. Onomah same for Fulham. All games live on Sky.

onomah played and scored for their u23s on monday but went off at half time, not fully fit yet. not sure what's happening with ccv though, guess he just has to bide his time. tbh i didn't really see the point in him going on another champ loan but hopefully he'll get a run in the team soon.

Not sure where else he can go on loan? Don’t think he’s Prem quality unless it’s to a team playing a very deep block tbh.

Should have been sold but I’m guessing that’s what the club was trying to do and it never came off.

Agree with you but it's nowhere near the level of what chelsea have been doing.
True, which is why I said they supercharged

Also I dont think there is anything wrong with what they are doing, I liked it when we did however our coaching at youth level was better imo

But our aim of youth was to bring some through for the first team. That was never chelsea's aim. They wanted to get around ffp. Buying under 21 players didn't count for ffp but selling them was income that did. Meaning they could spend more on the first team squad.

The situations and reasons were different and that is why people were critical of chelsea but not of us.

I hate to go around in circles but as I mentioned before we gave contracts to players who had no future at tottenham, of those 24 a lot of them weren't at the level like Munns who got released at the end of the season he got loaned. Our aim with a lot of those 24 was never to generate players for the first team but to get those players better and then try and get a fee for them.

IMO there is nothing wrong with that, if you are developing players to make them the best they are then there's nothing wrong with profiting from that.

Also at the time, Sherwood clashed with Harry over the fact that Harry never saw any of those players as potential first team players. The fact is Sherwood did fight for them to get a fair shot.

It goes back to Marsh, the reason the first poster laughed at the loan, is because marsh is a player who won't make the first team and that level is really difficult to progress, we will try and look to sell him for a small fee but probably end up releasing him.

But will also have hopefully given him the best possible chance of being a professional footballer. Presumably this is part of our offer to youngsters and their families - "Even if it doesn't work out for you at Tottenham, x% of our academy players go on to have a career in the game".

Simply put, its not true at all

Chelsea specifically target players and say that exact thing and they have proven track record whereas for us its not true. These youth players all know someone or another linked in and around the club and our stock has fallen on this front
