Least the gap will remain 7 points to Arsenal.... BUT they have knocked off 1 of their tough fixtures, we still have to go to Anfield.
it is going to be a tough finish to top 4 IMO but we can do it but must bounce back on Tues with a win before Utd.

Bringing on Skipp on not quite like having the option of bringing on Lamela, Dembele, Dier or Wanyama is it?

Is it?

Come on. Let go of your anger. It leads hate. Which leads to suffering.

Which is the life of a Spurs fan...

I never said it you’re the one bringing them players up
We didn’t have them but we have Skipp, use what you’ve got

People saying we are knackered. What a bs excuse for players not able to hit easy 5 yard passes. That 2nd half was a shitshow and deserves no excuses.

I disagree
Hmmhh. Not sure I agree with people saying we are legends, it's too easy a claim to make. The problem has been the lack of options we've had to rotate the squad.

Fairly sure that Son, Kane, Eriksen, Winks, Sissoko and some others, have played 5 matches in 15 days. It's our lack of options due to injuries and lack of transfers in summer which has cost us. We were dead on our feet in the 2nd half.

Embarrassing.
Way to stop the “spursy” shite. Even my wife just said “isn’t that typical Spurs though??”
?
But why did Ali go off, didn't seem to be struggling. That was the start of them controlling the game.
he was loosing the ball a lot as well doodling on the ball a lot, not passing the ball on time when he needed to

We'll be too tired for a cup without the investment though, what will we do then? Did you think we were title contenders let's say post the NLD (league not the league cup)?
You could argue that about Liverpool. But you can't deny on the back of some good performances and city failing that we were worth an outside bet. Our inability to beat mid table opposition when needed and well now I'm watching 'Pool at full throttle I'm afraid folks are getting a dose of realism.

So in short after the NLD you thought we were title contenders.

The thing I always dread after results like this is that the team will react much like an SC Match Thread will - lashing out; petulance; lack of coherence; turning on the whole the project as a failure - even wishing we had a different manager and players which is code for wishing we supported someone else.

But that fear has never eventuated. We have always bounced back (since the last few games of the Leicester season).
This group has given us reason to believe they will bounce back. We should support them,

Liverpool looking tired they're only 3-1 up. Why do people excuse us, we were poor we are not title challengers we are disappointing. In a way we have our Tottenham back. If only we had invested like Liverpool, lets hope better times are to come a cup would help.
Going to come down to that, one team addressed weaknesses with the intention of going for the title, one team again failed to dare to do, although in reality the best time to invest was the Jan v Leicester, no failure will surpass that, with Liverpool and City investing this year would have been hard to win even with investment so more risk v reward. That said I believe Sissoko’s form really got Levy out of a tight spot, had he not stepped up this season we could have really been in for a tough season with no midfield or stadium.

It’s looking fantastic for Liverpool. Can’t believe people were scared of the goons beating them and catching us!!

4 - 1 at halftime.
This is how you win titles fair play to Liverpool they will be worthy winners and as i have said before if you back your manager properly then this is just reward.

Think foyth will be involved too.. Possibly go back to 3 5 2 with kwp and Rose as wing backs to shore up the midfield lacking in numbers due to injury
That's a fair shout, it depends on how far away Jan is from a comeback, that isn't helping things!

How would we feel about winning the Champions League and coming 5th in the League like Pool did in 2005?

He put out a strong line up. For many it was a 4th start in 10 days.

With that in mind and with Harry's wonder goal, we had to get another soon after to give us breathing space. We had to kill the game in the 1st half like Bournemouth.

The longer the game went the more incapable we became at competing. Our players were drained.

We definitely need a couple of players in January. Especially a forward now. We need to look at what we did with Lucas, bring in somebody now that helps us out short term but also has time to adapt to go full tilt for next season.

Son is going missing for a number of games and he's not just any player. He's quality and he's versatile too. In addition the games are really piling up as we're still in all competitions and could even be so in late February if we get into the League Cup final. If Lucas gets injured we're really gonna be thin on the ground up front.

I have reason to be optimistic but also pessimistic. The truth is it could really go either way atm. If we get a good signing or two and we start winning again I wouldn't rule us out for a trophy or even still the league. However we could also still drop out of the top 4 if we get more injuries with the amount of games we have.

I hate the bottled it phrase but we really do crumble when the pressure is on...the mentality seems to be ingrained in the club and its probably the reason why we only have 2 titles in our history.
I am not sure that it was pressure that got to them, I think, it is complacency or over confident with the praises and title hypes that had been coming their way in recent days.

Wolves changed their attitude 2nd half, we didn't. Pochettino is right, you cannot expect to win anything in the Premier League you have to fight for every point.

Should be a good wake up call for the rest of the season.

I don't read this thread as it is full of hyperbole and knee-jerk reactions. We are still a very good team in a highly competitive league

I don’t buy the fatigue thing. Yes it played a sort second half but what was the excuse first half? It wasn’t a fatigue thing it was a lack of passing. Our touches and passing was off completely. Any forward passes we made were abysmal.

Alli hasn’t played since Everton and was the worst played on the pitch.

It was a mental thing. We were never at the races and we looked absolutely stumped all game. We lacked so much intensity we invited wolves to grow into the game and they realised hold on there is something for us here.

We seem to lack the mental strength to be champions and win trophies.

Shocked, but proud. I'd smoke a cigar and have a brandy - picture Boycie, I'd even have the shit eating grin on my face.
