I am happy about the result obviously but the attitude they showed in that second half after the third is infuriating. So half arsed. They hit the woodwork 3 times and Lloris saved our ass. Even if we win 3-1 it should be allowed to criticize.

Defintitely. Even a 3-1 victory is worthy of trotting out chest-thumping "that waasssss faaarkkking PATHETIC" post to show just what a "truly hard edged but solid supporter" you are.

Just a tip - when you've played Chelsea; Inter; Arsenal and then Southampton in front of a piss-poor crowd and come away with 9 out 12 points maybe, just maybe THEN you can dish out a few "pathetic" tags.

Was watching the Utd game, but looking at the reports and stats it seems we allowed them a lot of chances.

Noticed Kane played 90 mins again, even though we were 3 up. We really need to find a way to give him a breather, and if we have to go into the transfer market to do it then it should be a priority.

Yeah I don’t get it. We have plenty of players would could play the last 15 mins up front when we are three ahead. It doesn’t have to be a striker. Son, Dele and Lucas would all be fine.

What’s frustrating me is our struggle to keep clean sheets. It felt like Southampton were always going to get that consolation goal tonight.

They blocked me!
But informed me they were 19 games unbeaten!
I replied “ how strange “ we have lost maybe 3 or 4 and we are above you?

Good result and a tad harsh on the Saints based on the balance of play, even if some will argue we played to conserve energy so on that basis I can't begrudge Southampton scoring that goal at the end as they had plenty of chances and could have had more, I felt we went into cruise control mode after going 3 up and it clearly looked as though we had one eye on the weekend and beyond for the last 30 mins of the game.

In the context of the other games, Utd did us a favour with that draw and the Wolves result was a real bonus, I know much has been said about us conserving energy but we really need to go all out to get the 3 points against Leicester and I hope we have enough in the tank left to do it because there is a very real opportunity of gaining a 4-5 point gap on Chelsea in the offing with them playing City, the ball is in our court and we must take our chance. We will need to improve significantly on our last 30 minutes of this game and the last 30 mins of last Sunday's game because whilst it will be great if we manage it I will be surprised to say the least to see us having a 3 goal cushion after 60 minutes away at Leiceter.
