I struggle to find any light today. But Eriksen applied himself brilliantly.

He wanted a move. He wasn't Schnidey about it. He is still here. He played pretty well.

Manager has to swallow his pride.

What is the point of VAR if not to correct corrupt refereres?
Thing is we can sit and bitch about a missed penalty, which it was but the fact that we are moaning about it means we are clutching at straws alittle. We should be making these kind of teams our bread and butter, but we are crying over a missed pen. VAR will give and take away, without it we were not Cleague Finalists and we lose at City last game. Should VAR have given it, yeah it should, but should it have been the difference between us losing to Newcastle and getting a point? no..we should be winning these games end of.

It's game's like these (and a lot of our previous lease games stretching to last season) where you wonder what the fuck we do in training. It's worrying how clueless we've been for so long.

This doesn't look good on Poch at all, the fact that we've shown no improvement in facing teams who sit back like this. Far too easy for teams to do this against us.
.
So much this. We know they’ll have everyone behind the ball. That’s what every other bottom half team did last year - and often with great success. Yet Poch still can’t find a solution.

Today again, we had some occassions where we could have a quick transition when the opponent is not organised yet, but we just slow the game down with too many touches or lack of belief/intensity from our players.

Tactically very poor.

People calling for poch to go are wasting their time none of the top managers will want to come in and work under tight budgets and projects.
Unfortunately some of the so called lesser teams are investing and are catching up, this could be one of those season's when we don't make top six let alone top four.

no team has a divine right to win, but it feels like something is seriously wrong with our club currently. We have no cohesion or urgency, sick of hearing the players sprout of to the media how they want to challenge for trophies but then don't don't do their talking on the pitch. I didn't seem anybody try and lead or try something different today, was like watching 11 chess pieces move left and then move back right. we lack flair players, we lack creative player and we lack intelligent players, we lack a player than can beat a man, poch has built a squad of practical clones, he seems to have fallen out with half our better players, verts now frozen out, rose left out of preseason but then playing every game. toby, Eriksen going to walk for free. think we have gotten stale
Agree with your sentiment and the bit I highlighted has really pissed me off for years, players talk a good talk yet never seem accountable when it comes down to the crunch. Then they fuck off to 'win trophies' elsewhere, amazing.

Something is clearly up at the club.

Trippier alluded to it. Poch has alluded to it. Rose has alluded to it. Journalists close to the club have alluded to it.

I'm not one of the ones calling for Poch to go by any means, but there seems to be real bad vibes coming from the club since he said he would go if we won CL. I always get uncomfortable watching his pressers, just waiting for him to get narked at something.

He can't handle constructive criticism, he get's so worked up and reacts aggresively if a journalist asks him about his decision making, he has too much stupid pride, and his stupid pride is hurting the players and the team. Players we need to win games.

Sad just a limp performance and we shouldnt have to call/ rely on dodgy VAR calls to get us back into the game. We knew what Newcastle were all about and we watched them do it

2 shoots on the goal in the first half is pathetic. We were playing without a creative midfielder and that became pretty obvious when Eriksen and Lo Celso came in. We finished the game with 17 shoots. And our best chance was neglected by a blatant penalty ignored by Mike Dean. What a awful performance, we cannot win shit playing like this.

This. Fuck the penalty shouts. It’s Newcastle. Norwich sparked them last week and we didn’t create two chances today.

We’ve not played well for twelve months, not consistently. It’s going to get messy this season imo.

Meh, our chance passed us by.

Gone from Walker to Trippier and moaning to fucking KWP!!! Massive downgrade each time.

TND and GLC in and Eriksen out...don’t be fooled. Two steps forward, two and half back.

We have nothing out wide we have zero creativity through the middle and we.dont press like we used to. It's not like the players don't have the blueprint on how to properly execute.agaimst bus parking teams with Liverpool and City. Your right just not looking good for poch right now.

I agree but even with Eriksen and Lo Celso on today, we only looked marginally less clueless. It may not be the case but I just feel like as a unit we don't move as effectively as we should and we don't play with a good enough tempo. Something just really isn't right the makeup of our play.

Toothless match. No one making the runs and no one able to make any proper passes. Defence in a mess and those cute diagonals just keep getting through Sanchez for Joelinton. We need some changes. I knew what Poch was trying to do when he started but I am not sure if he knows what he is doing now....we lack ideas, aggression, and leadership on the pitch.

Mate it's the style of play. Those players had what it takes to beat the bottom of the table Newcastle. Ffs Its the system Poch insists on playing.
Yeah I think last week you can pin that on the quality of City a little bit and that we haven't found our best XI. You don't need your best XI to put Newcastle to the sword. There is absolutely no excuse and it has to rest with the manager.

Can't imagine any spurs supporter wants that
