Match: ____ English Premier League (EPL) - Day 22

When: ____ Sunday January 13 2019

Where: ____ Wembley Stadium

Kick Off: ____ 4:30 pm

Referee: ____ Mike Dean +

Team Form: ____ Spurs WLWWW ______Man Utd WWWWW _____ (All Competitons)

We are looking to win 3 consecutive top flight meetings with Man Utd for the first time since 1960. We could become the first team since Everton in 1987 to win 4 consecutive home top-flight matches against Man U. We have not lost consecutive home league games since May 2015, when we lost against Aston Villa and Man City.

Kane and Moura were on the scoresheet in our 3-0 win in the reverse fixture - Only Clint Dempsey in 2012-13 and Jermaine Jenas in 2005-06 have scored home and away against Man Utd for Spurs in the same EPL campaign. Kane has scored 8 goals in his last 8 EPL starts

Manu have lost their last three away EPL matches against us - they had lost just 3 of their first 23 against us in the competition between 1992 and 2014 (W12 D8). They have lost 2 of their last 3 matches at Wembley in all competitions (including this exact fixture last season), as many as they had in their last 15 at the ground (W8 D5 L2). They have just won 4 of their last 17 away EPL matches in London (D4 L9). Victory for Manu would see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer equal Matt Busby's record of a Man Utd's Manager winning their first five league games in charge of the club.

Marcus Rashford has been directly involved in 9 goals in his last 8 EPL games for Man Utd (4 goals, 5 Assists), and is looking to score in 3 consecutive top-flight games for the first time in his career

I genuinely believe this is the toughest home game of the season, ignore United's league position and all that has gone before because they are flying on their confidence levels right now. I know people will say they haven't had a tough test under the baby faced assasin yet but the tests they've had they have breezed through so make no mistake we are dealing with a different side than we've seen all season.
Don't get me wrong I am not being pessimistic I am trying to face reality, our players will need to be at the top of their game though I see no reason why they wouldn't be, they'll know the reality of the situation and I'm sure they'll rise to the occasion but they'll need top refereeing and they'll need us.
Win this and we will have to come to terms with the fact that we are truly a top top side, I think we can and am very hopeful.

I can gues why you say that having played Liverpool, City and even Chelsea but they were what they were but United are more than they are due to their confidence levels, hope that makes sense, it does to me.

United are carrying a bigger attacking threat since being let off the leash so to speak but they're poorer defensively than the other three you mention, they can be got at big time.

No doubt there will be goals in this and could be a real cracker as we'll get loads of space as they will not sit deep like so many others who come to Wembley.

I'm quietly confident providing fast tempo Spurs turn up and not the jaded one we saw mid week.

I hope everybody realises that if we win this there will be an avalanche of 'Why Poch is so much better than Solksjaer' in the media. Just saying.

Yeah I think our performance in this one is going to have to be a level up on what we have seen in recent games. We've got to zip the ball around with a bit more purpose and tempo, and especially when defending I think as a whole unit our work/organisation has got to be a bit better than the last few weeks to cut down the chances and stop relying on a good rearguard effort in front of our goal.

Just beat the deluded, privileged turds. Put them back in their expensive, ramshackled post-Fergie place and watch them throw another 500k a week this window on some over inflated player trading on his hype and ego but fuck all value added

I don’t think we should worry about that.
We know that the press (in general) have always leaned more towards the other big clubs.

A positive result for us tomorrow will only confirm how big a mess United is in now and the scale of work to be done over there. I’m sure it would be another reason why Poch shouldn’t be going there.

Not sure how to rate this...

Do I do the 'Disagree' (which I rarely use anyway)? Do I do the 'Like' for the hoping you're wrong? Do I do 'Optimistic' because of your Mrs?

DAMN YOU, FUZZYLOGIC, WITH YOUR.... FUZZY LOGIC!!!

;)

EDIT: I went with 'Funny'... :shifty:

Where you get that from?

Valencia a big miss for them if that's accurate.

All their best CBs missing.
