I don’t really see much in the match threads

Not quite sure on the clientele but I’m guessing it’s fly by the night, sub 30 years old, world owes me everything kind of people?

Look, Liverpool are better than us. Sissoko made a HUGE error, I don’t think it’s fair it’s a pen, technically though it is. Mane cheated, he kicked it against his hand, but Moussa gave him that option by not thinking.

We played well up to the final third, like all season. We should have been in that final, heart and luck got us there. Not quality.

We are 100% going to be back in 10 years, we will win the Prem in the next 10 years.

We are 3 or 4 players from being there.

Please do not underestimate the fact we have one of the three best managers in World, the best stadium in the world, the best training facilities in the world.

This is the START, not the end

We were simply not good enough, and didn't deserve to win. Boring game. Pool weren't great, but were far better than us. No complaints, other than why - in the biggest game of their careers - did they not turn up?

Still proud that we got to the final though.

Thank goodness we held on to 4th spot in the League. Tonight's disappointment would have been a lot harder to take without it. Hopefully, we'll get some new players in over the next few weeks so we should have lots to look forward to next season.

Do yourselves a favour and don't open the Sunday papers tomorrow. ;)

i think the thing that pisses people off more is to lose to another PL team, yes not a good performance but to lose to Liverpool is a little depressing but a team second in the league with one defeat all season after a long season and in the end we got to a final after many semi final heartaches.
Yes poor penalty but we would all be wanting it and it’s been given in the CL all season not that it’s right, honestly not had a decent shot in the game, typical spurs game with all the effort but not much actual chances.
So very disappointed with the game but so happy with the season and the feeling of saying I am Spurs fan and it meaning something.

If i could have wrote a script how I didn’t want that to go it was pretty much nailed, impressive how all the fine details of bastardness came to fruition.

Levy and ENIC have to put football over business for this to happen

Love the lads, love the manager, love the club. We are in such a special position that I think it eases the pain somewhat but not pushing on from here will forever be the end of the club. We are in the BIGGEST period of the club's existence and we don't even realise it!

Can’t believe that it was over after 29 seconds. Not in my wildest dream did I think we would balls it up after that short of a time. It wasn’t a penalty though

I don't think this is a one off. We've drawn a line in the sand, and I think we are going to reach more semi-finals in the near future, possibly finals.

I was thinking the stars were really aligning for us until they aligned better for the scummy dippers with a penalty for them in the first minute. The ref just wrecked what could be a great final..

But somehow the match time passed really quickly for a boring match. Am I the only one feeling that? Is like playing FIFA with 30minutes setting. Even halftime seemed double quick timed.
Yeah i thought the game flew by

What hurts me the most is we were ahead of Liverpool a year or so ago, we need to show the same ambition if we are to win things, that simple.

The rules need to change if refs are going to be dicks about hand ball and penalties which looks likely with the increase of VAR. Firstly the ball needs to be heading in the direction of goal. Secondly, the shape of the box needs to become a D and pulled out so that only shots from those angles can become goals.

Otherwise it's all a bit farcical as was Liverpool's penalty tonight which destroyed the game...

Heading back from Tottenham back to Surrey and catching up with the thread.

Fair to say our team put up a braver performance than some of the “fans” on here. Christ sake - you can argue team selection and individual performance without tossing the entire team and club under a bus.

Embarrassing some of the comments.

I’m gutted, don’t think that anything will take away the numbness that I feel tonight. We just didn’t turn up, didn’t do anything and that is what’s more galling than anything else.

Liverpool played like a Mourinho team tonight not a Klopp team. After going 1-0 up I thought they would go for the jugular but sat back and soaked up pressure for 86 mins.

Still proud but don't feel like we got beaten by a better footballing team tonight...

We got to the final, so what, means fuckall if you don't win it!! Just another 'glorious' failure!!

We had no place being there given how shite we’ve been this season and the fact we haven’t signed anyone for 18 months.

This is a huge overachievement which should drive us on to achieve big things.

Get a fucking hold of yourself.
