Pundits on the Daily Fail have it 7 to 1 against us winning and the muppet who picked us had Sissoko scoring. You can be certain that will be a miracle. Other newmedia are no different.

Underdogs. I am loving it. Makes me even more determined and confident. COYS!!!

I swear to god, went down to the Olympic park (live next to it) to enjoy the sun and every other person is wearing a Liverpool shirt. Seriously irritating me. Really hope we do them tonight. Absolutely loath that team.

Stand friends... anybody fancying a beer in marketplace before the game I’ll be the one in a home shirt holding a beer singing “oh what a night...” :singing:

Your description of yourself doesn’t really narrow it down much-will probably match about 3/4 of the people there

I post rarely, read every day. I need to post on the landmark occasion. CoYS very proud boys let’s bring it home and give me something else to post about later!

Watching from NY supporters Bar after having moved out from London in Feb - won’t be the same as having flew in for Ajax, but cheering on across the pond!

If things don’t go to plan this evening, I’ve got this monster maxed up for the scouser who lives nearby. The bonus is that it’s not illegal so no jail time if I go full Predator on him. Fucker takes batteries and everything

BBC Breaking News report:

A flight to Gatwick has been forced to make an emergency landing today after a passenger attempted to exit the plane midflight.

Ivor Smallbrain, a 36-year-old of no fixed abode was seemingly content throughout much of the flight with stewards reporting that he moved little except to adjust the Arsenal football shirt he was wearing

A witness to the incident, a Mr Jenko, told us:

"It was all very weird. He was very quiet most of the time. I leant over at one point and said, 'Europe, eh?' and he then all of a sudden jumped up and started screaming."

Unfortunately, I kinda let him off the hook. Too nice when sober its always been a problem... he said to me 'Could be a good night for you huh?' And I just said something like 'just happy to be there, if we're in it every year we'll win it eventually, but it could be mega tonight'.
We didn't speak after that....

There is a mystique in this competition and Spurs have experienced it at its most powerful and will undoubtedly believe it’s their time as Chelsea did in 2012.

Though I disagree it’s a ‘free hit’ for Spurs as this has now become an opportunity to irrevocably change the perception of the club and elevate them to some degree above eternal rivals Arsenal.

But they also have quality and bravery in possession, as displayed at Anfield this season, where Toby Alderweireld’s own-goal to gift Liverpool victory masked what had been an outstanding second-half display. Their fearlessness under Mauricio Pochettino will see them through. Tottenham 2-1 Liverpool AET

Miguel Delaney
Liverpool are the better team and all logic - as well as recent results against each other, form and the table - dictates they will win... but I just can’t shake the feeling Tottenham Hotspur will win this.

It’s not a totally irrational hunch. I think Mauricio Pochettino will get them to raise their performance to the kind of ultra-focused elevated level the occasion demands, but also come up with some tactical insight to turn it.

So - just about - 2-1 to Spurs. I wouldn’t put much money on it, mind. I would however back a genuinely good final.

It was all Spurs in West London. Had to pop to Westfield quick & Spurs fans shouting out COYS to me. Saw one Liverpool fan sitting by himself in Westfield but when he saw me he adjusted his arm positioning to slyly cover the badge like I wouldn’t notice. :ROFLMAO: Where are you watching the game mate?

Jamie Carragher: Liverpool are here to win it, Spurs are here to enjoy it.

He tried being careful with what he said (“I’m not saying they’re here to enjoy it.... but... they did get here a few days earlier than Liverpool to take it all in”) but this is exactly what he meant.

I’ll be 99% made up for me, my friends and Spurs if we win, but the other 1% will be joy directed purely towards ****s like Carragher.
Some of the things we have said does make it sound like we are turning up to enjoy it. Hopefully it’s just because we aren’t relaxed and going to maul them.
Exactly :-(

Was hoping to watch via Virgin online thing but they're somehow seeing through my VPN.
look for a trial version of netshade. Never found any company to see through that

Ok, I've got myself sufficiently inspired by spending the last hour catching up on the club's youtube channel, and rewatching the NoFilter highlights of Man City and Ajax. I'm now off to get myself sorted and head up to N17.

Whatever happens, this is landmark, this is history, and this Tottenham Hotspur. This day lives on regardless. To misquote from Gladiator "what we do this day, will echo in eternity."

See you on the other side.

Just told me wife I’m doing fuck all for the rest of the day. Ordinarily this doesn’t wash, and the rational me knows it, but I must have a wild, terrified look on my face, a bit like an acid trip casualty running from the pigeons in the high street, and she just looked sympathetically at me, the way a vet might look at a Labrador that’s just had its balls connect with a lawnmower blade on full rev
