Poch on Son booking
It was unbelievable, unbelievable. When you compare the situation with the penalty for Leicester, unbelievable. That’s what I said to Michael. Then you look at Liverpool and the last minute. Same referee. I’m more relaxed because we won. Do you think that we’re a team trying to cheat a referee? Come on, we’re one of the nicest teams on the pitch.
Well done Poch!

And now the club should come out and point out the Pawson decision on Rose and stamp this fucking shit out.

Also the card Harry was given against Wolves. He went over easily BUT there was contact and we’ll outside the box and usually always a simple free kick that everyone gets.

We have to turn the spotlight on the refs and protect our players more

Yeah, but we need both Liverpool and Man City to drop points. What's the point of Man City pressuring Liverpool if they then build on a win to take top spot?

Anyway, agree to disagree, I think.
Win all our games we will be above city ,we need Liverpool to drop points.

Take Eriksen out and put just a good player in and we don’t win today. He’s irreplaceable because even when he’s not doing much he can come up with two moments of absolute class. If we want to progress and achieve things we simply cannot lose him.
I disagree. For the goal he scored and the assist he made, anyone of Dele, Lamela, Lucas have done before. And for what he did for the rest of the game he contributed little else as he was well below usual his standard . So to address your main point, playing another player instead of Eriksen we could still win despite what you may think.

From a contact who knows Tielemans:

I think it was a matter of wanting to make sure he was going to play immediately and a lot. Spurs may not have wanted to give him that guarantee. At Leicester he has a French coach who knows the French league and Monaco and what Tielemans did there. He’s also on loan so making sure he’d have a chance to make an impact right away is important.

What? I'm not sure which post of mine you are referring to?

If City win they'll be 5 ahead.
Liverpool are 5 ahead anyway, so regardless it's still a 5 point deficit. It makes no difference that two teams are 5 points ahead. It's still the same amount for us to have to overhaul.
I'd sooner we have a bit more breathing space below us.
Whatever, though... ??‍♂️

Don’t agree with this. The likelihood of overhauling 5 points on one team are slim, two teams = slimmer, they both have to fail, or we have to beat them both, that’s definitely harder than overhauling one.

Thank fucking Christ you have nothing to do with team selection or player recruitment.

Just man up and admit Eriksen made you look like a gimp. Ffs

No one else on our team can make that pass as regularly as Eriksen does. De Bruyne is probably the only one in the league who's better than him at it.

I thought the Son dive/booking was fair enough tbh. A tiny bit of contact and a leg was hung but Son threw himself to the floor big time from a fairly stationary position. If he'd run through and initiated/made sure of contact he probably gets it.

But when you see what they then get a penalty for, that's what gets fans angry when you get such inconsistency.

Tend to agree & we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that they were the better team for large parts of the game. If we'd missed the chances they created we'd be pulling our hair out, as it was we somehow scored 3 & looks as if it was comfortable. It was anything but for me.

Yes, but that's the rub, isn't it? Winning all our games. After what we witnessed today at the Etihad, beating City is not the easiest task.

Havent seen Sons wrongful booking and non pen award been mentioned in either BBC or Sky match write ups. Just says Son was controversially booked but doesn't elaborate which doesn't come close to covering that fuck up (of which there were many) from Oliver.

He was pushed by one player and tripped by another. It was a pen

Oliver's performance should be reviewed and rightly questioned.

That is the worst refeering performance I've seen in years. Absolutely dreadful and it honestly felt like it was intentional at times.

We were fortunate but there's been so many times we've played well and havnt got our just deserts - United a few weeks away being the most recent.

So it felt great and the importance of the win was massive and now we're definitely in a title race.

The fact that Poch was openly having a go at Oliver within the first 20 minutes says all you need to know about Oliver’s performance today. Both Oliver and one of his linesman were a disgrace today and it was’nt a surprise when he awarded a penalty to Leicester.

Makes the win today even better when you consider how poor and biased the ref was.

We can take hope from them losing to Palace, Leicester and Newcastle. Nothing is certain in this league.

It was clear contact and a clear penalty. Ffs.

He got booked for simulation. For cheating. Maguire stuck out his foot and made contact. It's a fucking penalty.

It's time we got angry about this shit. It's gone on long enough. Poch is finally making a stand. Good.
