If Liverpool got 3rd it would have been all over SSN that Liverpool pipped Tottenham to 3rd.

Fuck SSN! Who cares what they think! In 5-10years when we are all streaming sports on google / amazon their low brow analysis will be a thing of the past

Excellent forward, but he's 31. I can't see us paying big money for him.
I understand that. But that’s what I mean about being serious about competing next year. He’s a proven performer, plays well in big games, pressure situations. These are things we need. Yeah, it’s writing off the transfer fee, but if he helps another year of CL qualification it pays for itself. I think it’s the sort of risk that Poch was talking about post-match.

It's astonishing really. The BBC headline is "Liverpool in Top Four" when it should actually be "Spurs claim 3rd". The BBC Liverpool bias is becoming really embarrassing.

I think you’re being over sensitive. You could look at it as a compliment in that it’s no big deal for us to be top four anymore, people are getting used to it :).

Or it could simply be that no one else gives a shit that we’re 3rd, because with no CL qualifying it’s as good as no difference to 4th.

The only two questions with today’s matches were confirming relegation and Liv and Chelsea getting top four.

WOW, what an open game that was. Our defencw at times was all over the place. Some gret saves from Lloris saved us conceding more. Lamela was a comple te different player in the second half. We sure missed Verts at the back. COYS!!!!.

If we’re serious about going for it next season we should try to sign Vardy. Scores against big teams. Could play with Kane or instead. Gives you effort every week.
I thought he was impressive today. I wonder whether we will go for both him and Mahrez.

such a weird game for once we were great down the flanks and woeful defensively through the middle. twice we allowed vardy to the ball first from a set play. lamela was the guy to me it looked like tasked to cut out the near post but was very poor on both accounts. Wanyama has probably the 2 worst individual performances in a spurs shirt this season, this game and the Chelsea one at the start of the season, toby looked rusty as did many of the players that don't regularly play. some cracking goals at both ends of the pitch

Well, all's well that ends well. This was my first season ticket and the people around me were great. OK, I didn't agree with some of the things said, but I really missed them when I wasn't sitting with them. It will be a shame not seeing them next season.
I thought Lamela's second half performance was very good as was KWP. Kane was off the pace, but took his second beautifully. Oh, and the referee was woeful. We shipped goals, because it was a makeshift defence.

Bonkers game of football where I'm pleased we somehow came out on top. Highlight for me was KWP - he must get more game time next season, absolute talent.

The game seemed to be played like a pre season one where no one really gave a fuck about much defending or the result but hey we won.

Mental game today, feel mentally drained just watching it, but getting the 3 points and cementing 3rd place was all that mattered.

Not a bad prediction in the end. Should have put a few quid on it.

#6

I have the top six looking:

1-Man City - 99 pts (100)
2-Man Utd - 81 (81)
3-Liverpool - 79 (75)
4-Spurs - 79 (77)
5-Chelsea - 75 (70)
6-Arsenal - 65 (63)

I have us drawing with Chelsea, so a win for either team in that game will have huge ramifications.
