Fucking hell, Sissoko should of had player of the season.

He's been our most CONSISTENT performer.

That really is poor for him to not receive that accolade.

People voting for their favourite player regardless is really fucking disappointing.

Agreed, can’t believe Gazza didn’t win it! He was awesome in the legends match.

Just a guess but I'd be surprised if this wasn't swung by the Asian supporters clubs which I believe have huge numbers.

I agree.

Popularity contest more than player of the season.
Don't get me wrong Sonny has had a wonderful season and for me it was between the two of them to get it. I just think Sissokko has been missed more when he's been out than Sonny has.

Poch on Dele Alli: "He felt strange in the warm-up and that’s why his performance was so poor in the first half, he couldn’t do what he wanted. We made a change at the break but it’s a small problem."

For those people complaining. Yes you are right, our form has been shocking, we have only scraped 4th because our rivals have been even worse. However, you have to look at why you are disappointed. Is it;
A) we arent that good?
B) we should be better?

Well, we clearly are very good because we have had some great results against some of the best clubs in Europe. Not only results but performances. So the evidence doesn't back up your conclusion.

Then you could perhaps say that we are inconsistent or just simply ran out of steam. Again, why might that be? Injuries. Check. Fatigue. Check. Disruption due to the stadium. Check. No players bought for 2 windows. Check. No preseason for key players. Check

You can always look at things in different ways, but the objective truth is that we have had a hugely successful season where we have improved our global profile hugely. We have achieved things that few of us could have even dreamed of a few short years ago.

There is work to do, if that there is no doubt. We need players, we need to secure or sell players that we already have. The circumstances that we faced this season were unique and wont be the same next year.

I am hugely proud of the team and very optimistic that next year will see us achieve even greater success.

Ultimately though, people who would view this season negatively would find the negative in anything!

Incredible season really especially given the stadium issues and lack of strengthening the squad.

Very much this. Stadium issues, injury issues, fatigue, a lack of new players to shake things up...CL football next season is a great achievement in itself before we even discuss reaching the CL Final.

It’s been a crazy season with plenty of problems, but at the end of the day we’ve qualified again, opened our incredible new stadium, and just reached the biggest club game in football (massively raising our profile across the planet).

Not bad!

Calm down! He will get MOTM in the CL final.

Sissoko has been incredible the last couple months, but over the whole season Son probably edged it for me. There were plenty of journals who felt he was one of the 6 best players this season and he had those two international tournaments in the mix. If Sissoko had a few more assists and goals in him he'd have won it.

I really don't think people were voting for their favorite player.

Nah, I don't think so. If that was true he'd win it every year. He also came out top in the Junior and One Hotspur votes. I think it's a fair decision over the season.

Absolutely gutted Sissoko didn’t get poty! Love Sonny. But he’s been away twice. And had some barren spells. But. What a season. Time to finish with a flourish.
