Jesus. While true, you have to surely look st the whole picture. We have achieved way beyond what we should have given the circumstances.

I'm happy.
And this is why we will never win the Premier League if the players have the same attitude as you. We may have achieved alot but it was definitely in our hands to achieve much more. Sitting on our laurels is not going to get us anywhere.

I really didn't know what to expect after the huge emotions of Wednesday night, and players missing. But the effort was still there, and desire to win the game. Especially proud of the ones who played the full 90 midweek, Sissoko incredibly finds energy from somewhere.
Disappointing not to finish 3rd, but fuck it. It feels important to finish on points above the scum though. Somehow wouldn't have felt as sweet had we finished level on points.

Overall, with all the injuries, no players coming in, and the Stadium debacle - top 4 seems like something to be pretty proud of this season. And if we can find one more monumental performance, in a few weeks, It could incredibly finish as one of the greatest seasons this club has ever had....COYS!!!!

Totally disagree. Our never-say-die attitude and positive mindset has squeezed every single drop out of this squad this season and got us to where we are. That in itself is virtually a miracle.

The attitude of the players is irrelevant in terms of winning the league this year. We simply did not have it in us. Injuries, fatigue, etc etc etc meant that just being in the title race for so long was amazing.

We need a proper rest, preseason and some new players. That will give us a chance of winning the league!

What more is it you think we could have achieved?

Sissoko has been incredible the last couple months, but over the whole season Son probably edged it for me. There were plenty of journals who felt he was one of the 6 best players this season and he had those two international tournaments in the mix. If Sissoko had a few more assists and goals in him he'd have won it.

I really don't think people were voting for their favorite player.

It was between the two of them, but I really think Sissoko should of won it as he's been so consistent with his performances.

Son obviously did well, scoring some massive goals for us, but Sissoko was 8 "out of ten most weeks, which is dam hard to keep up.

Son had plenty of really quiet games, as much as I love him.

Anyway, just thought it would of meant so much to Sissoko for winning it.

Sissoko has carried the club these last few months.

Wouldn’t surprise me if it was him that finally wired up the fire alarms up correctly, nothing he can’t do.

Disappointed Spurs fans. We had a massive cushion that became eroded and only a fool wouldn't realise we finished top four because our rivals have also fallen way short, including Chelsea who finished above us.

The swings:

City: - 4pts
Liverpool: - 20pts
Chelsea: - 8pts
Arsenal: - 13pts
Utd + 9pts

Utd have had a disasterous season but we've also had a poor one in terms of being over taken by two teams and Arsenal have caught up with us massively. Really need Arsenal not to win the Europa League.

Who cares, we got top 4 and achieved our goal considering the shitty circumstances we were in I'll take that all day long. Where you finish is all that matters.

Its quite clear we were running out of steam, more and more as the season wore on.

3 weeks to recuperate and prepare for a CL final!!!!

And hopefully some exciting new additions to the squad in the coming weeks.

Exciting times.

I don't know what monumental fuckwit decided it would be a good idea to play pop music all over the lap of honour to stop the fans singing to the players and staff - but they should be fired forthwith.

I think it’s time for Lamela to move on too
Let me add, I accept that some disagree but this is not some reactionary remark, this is a statement based on the fact that, over the time he has been at the club, he has not quite fulfilled his promise. I believe we can’t afford to pay out wages to someone who is incredibly fragile physically, and therefore can’t be relied upon.

Follow him.
Harsh. Perhaps I should have made that remark in the Lamela player thread. It wasn’t a reaction to him today, it’s merely my feelings that, for a combination of factors, not least the fact he has been rather injury prone, he has not become a player we can rely on. I like him as a player and he seems a good guy, I just feel the time has come for us to part ways. I say that with a large amount of respect for what he’s given us, but also with a realistic view on what we need to do to keep progressing. I’d say there were some more pressing positions we need to strengthen, and if he could stay fit then I wouldn’t be against him being part of the squad, but therein lies the problem - will he stay fit so we can rely on him? Clearly you’re a big fan of his, sorry for hurting your feelings.

Son has been inconsistent let’s be real...one has to be very careful as not to upset his followers. I love Son as a footballer and person, he has a massive following of supporters that follow him (not entirely sure they all follow Tottenham) on his day Son has been devastating and if he can add more consistency he will be world class.

For me Sissoko has been very consistent and really deserved player of the season just from the massive fight back he made to turn views around.

In that case we have a play-off between us and Arsenal in Dubai

edit: apparently that's wrong, the play-off is at midnight after the Singapore night-time Grand Prix
