What more is it you think we could have achieved?
Getting third today as all we had to do was put in a little effort to protect our 1-0 lead. I am not in the Arsenal camp where getting top 4 should be the ultimate achievment.

100% this.

It's a worry, really, as it could lead to Son winning it every season for the foreseeable future despite other players maybe deserving it more.

Not saying Son hasn't been fantastic, but Sissoko should have been the clear winner.

If that's the case, why has he been here for almost 4 years and only just won one?

Maybe it's a sign that the Koreans and maybe other Asian supporters have tuned in to the club, Son is astronomical over there now so it makes sense that after four years our support has grown as well.

He's been the biggest star in Asian football since his days in Germany. I have no doubt whatsoever that they've all been following him since his move to THFC.

Seems absolutely bizarre to me that a guy has been given an award & people are finding reasons to complain about it.

We've won many games this season that we perhaps may not have deserved to win, yet I don't see people asking for league rules to be changed because it's not fair that we got points that we possibly didn't deserve.

I'm not arguing he shouldn't be given it I'm just putting an explanation as to why this year and not before to answer your question and I still think the difference could be that they did, as you say, follow him but now they also follow Spurs and so get involved in things like voting for PotY.

My post wasn't a pop at you mate.

I just find it ridiculous what people find to moan or complain about.

When the awards were put up for people to vote, it was pretty much between Son and Sissoko, with more people leaning towards Son. Theres no conspiracy here (most of the people on social media saying who they voted for were white). The vote i think was put up on the back of the City Game as well. In an ideal world both players would have shared it, as they've both been tremendous and deserving of it. Was only a few weeks ago we were complaining of Son not being voted for PFA player of the year and getting into team of the year.

There's hardly any difference in finishing 3rd or 4th apart from a little prize money and bragging rights but ultimately there's nothing to moan at. Particularly when we have CL final to play, I think you can cut the players a little slack - it's been a long hard season.

Agree with your overall sanguine outlook on 3rd, but if splitting hairs the difference between 4th and 3rd is £5.4m.

£2m in PL prize money, and at least £3.4m in CL TV pool for 2019/20.
